Who is Shamash???
Any guesses? Let's try to decode this mystery man. I'm guessing he resides in one of the NE cities... I'm guessing either NY or Chicago... I don't think it's Boston. I think his name is Jim as well. He mentioned that as a Manly name, but may have been referring to anyone. So, I'm going to start with Jim, living in either NY or Chicago. Anyone else?

'nuff said.
Those who speak do not know. Those who know dare not speak.

Though I may question his taste in literature from time to time, he seems to be fairly well read... so that rules out Chicago...

feasting in Chi-Town
thumper, who needs books in a town when you had Belden's at Belden and Clark with its corned-beef sandwich stacked so high with beef it took me one hour and half to munch it down -- and this in January in the Windy City where the biting wind-whipped cold (once you escape the transit-police Rottweilers on the el) sure can make you hungry. If you like red meat, it is a town to feast on. And its women can away steal your heart.

According to Danny Ferry as played by Joe Pesci...
He's like the men who shot Kennedy; an enigma wrapped up in an enigma.

Apropos
Lol, that's also how Winston Churchill described Russia: "I cannot forecast the actions of Russia. (Russia) is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." Wise man.
