Nc6 for me too
I was tempted by Nbd7 because I am worried about the annoying pin on the f Knight. However, that is the only reason I can find to justify the move, so I agree that Nc6 gives better options.

now we development is complete we can attack that B with a3 or put our B on a better diagonal with Bd3.
for me a3 is just the better move

look a little further from Nxd4 and this follows
Nxd4 NxN and now we have to accept the loss of the N for pawn because if
QxN then Bxh7+ and the Q is lost.
So i think it is time for h6 and move that B on somewhere.

Opticians appointment overdue
Thanks bigpeta. I had stopped my analysis after QxN and did not spot the check and discovered attack on the Queen. I hope my friend caveman doesn't read this, he has already pointed out to me in our training game that I'm not analysing things deep enough. Okay then back to the drawing board, I'll come up with an alternative soon, but h6 does look sensible.
Are you really in Scotland bigpeta ?
