BTW, I was going to do one this week. Interestingly enough, my work schedule changed, last week and, thus could not make it to the club. I did this week, but the colors were reversed for the starting positions, in both games. I don't record, unless they're accurate. In a way, it was a good thing because, although Jack didn't analyze, I did. The second game was one of the worst in a long time. And, I missed basic threats which shouldn'd have been overlooked. After almost losing my Queen in the opening, I blundered away a free piece, shortly afterwards. What I learned is that it's good to annotate. But, something that Tom said is also important. Don't stress over it too much. Just think about the game, itself, and don't worry too much about annotating it. When it works, it's good, but if it doesn't, that's allright to. Thinking too much about something will only lead to a distraction that one does not need. And, next week, I have to work at the same time as the chess club.

Looking forward to your annotations when time permits.

Thanks Ron. Since the founder of this club was honored in my team, a couple of months ago for this thread, I decided that, to help the team live up to it's reputation, I'd copy and paste this thread into the forum.

Times are changing, and now that American Idol is on once a week for now, if there's time, which there might be, I'd annotate a game against someone who I did little coaching but is just a good player and couldn't be coached that much. But, since my last OTB game was a WTW Coaching Game with Jack Stockel, it was going to precedence over any other game that I would've annotated, including the online WTW games. gameknot.com The reason for not delaying castling is that Jack stuck to mainlines, so I didn't trust him. Had he played 3...d6 (which we often see), or the dubious 3...Bc5?!, I would've. But, that does not happen when he Jack continues with the Berlin wall.

Times are changing indeed. But no excuse for me falling so behind your annotations (again)! As I've mentioned over in our team forum, I will expect to be catching up to all of these directly!
