Heard today that England is going to do a 1 off show of Are you being served...

Well its happening
They are screening those now. Are you being served. Porridge, Goodnight Sweetheart, Young Hyacinth, Hancock's Half Hour and Steptoe and Son. Have seen a few so far. It is always difficult to recast a sitcom but I think they did quite well, though it does fall short of the original (obviously). For me, "Goodnight Sweetheart" has been the better as they were able to use the original actors with a clever twist to the story line.
