Technical Help Please
I've been trying for several hours to figure out how you guys get chessboards and positions onto a forum post.

I understand I could probably post a link to a game or annotation, but having a position on the post really adds something I think.

Thanks in advance.

Yes. I do that in my consultation games, as well as in Chess Problems Lovers club when someone mentioned where the pawns are, etc. But, ironically, during my first year, I had the exact same question that bhidragon just asked. And, ION showed me how to post the Fen Notation since I wanted to, back then, post the position in an annotation. After practicing, however, it became easy to do.

bhidragon,

One of the quickest/easiest ways to post a position without even trying to figure anything out except typing FEN with the parentheses ...is using the practice board above your game list.Set up the position on the practice board, then below that board is a FEN click on option. The FEN will automatically generate for any position. Then simply copy the FEN by the click of your mouse and paste the FEN into any club post you wish.Select preview, then post.
