![]() One of my greatest fears relative to my Christian walk is that I will die without expanding God's kingdom. However, I have recently come to realize that God is using me during the arduous five hours, three days per week blood-cleansing sessions to minister to the needs of the other 80 patients as well as the Fresenius Kidney Care of Madison staff. As much as I hate being tethered to the dialysis chair for 15 hours per week, the realization of knowing I am serving my Lord and Master during all those 5-hour increments of time makes my sacrifice a worthwhile one. |

![]() 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. May the Spirit of God continue using you for His Glory. |

![]() My personal devotion habits have been established since the moment - it IS A DECISION. - I first determined to give the Lord 15 minutes each morning. That was hard to do, only 15 minutes because 15 minutes is less time than it takes to eat a meal or watch a T V program, isn't it? Before long my 15 minutes turned to 30 minutes. Now it isn't unusual for my wife and I to devote over an hour and one-half or more. God IS FAITHFUL to meet with you (James 4:8) The value and benefits of a daily devotion time of Bible reading to meet with God is the most basic and essential personal practice a Christian can engage in. Let me challenge those reading this to begin this New Year with a commitment to spend just 15 minutes with God in reading the Bible each day? Like Jim has noted here, your knowledge and wisdom in the matters of the Kingdom of God will amaze those who may listen to what God has taught you! |

![]() 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. A "Life Application Bible" is one of the best investment one ca make. This Bible has many added notes/ suggestions throughout. And as we use the cross references leading to other passages in the Bible which "drives home" particular points, we will be assured of God's meaning. Yes, always prayerfully ask God to not only reveal His will for you when reading the Word, but prayerfully ask for His grace that you would have the inner strength to do it! In His Name, Frank |
