Who plays over the board (Live face-to-face)
I play about 8-9 hours a day on GK. Trust me, that is a conservative estimate. But as a chess addict, playing another human in person is the truly desired experience. I go to a local chess club on Saturday. It is a great place to play a friendly game. The club director is a chess fiend and an elder statesman of the game of Kings. There used to be a website, but it has been taken down and I don't know why.

I agree with the jim above. chess sets should look like chess sets. I don't really like ornamental sets. they are not really intended for playing. they r intended for ornament.

Yes capa1 I like to look at ornamental chess sets. However I simply love the Stanton style. Case in point... A friend of mine received a birthday gift from his wife it was the star trek 3D ornamental chess set. I bought him a USCF Tournament regulation set, and he loved it! Needles to say his wife was pissed! Lol
