goldentweety 07-Jan-17, 06:20	U1600 Knights Tournament Rules We are proud to host The 2017 Under 1600 Knights Tournament scheduled to start January 8, 2017.This will be a RATED 3 round swiss tournament with a time control of 3 days per move. Each round will also have a time control of all moves in 2 months. Any games still ongoing after the two month period will be examined and adjudicated as a win, loss, or draw. This will prevent opponents in lost positions from dragging out the game and from opponents trying to win from drawn positions.The third round will not be adjudicated and will continue until a winner is declared The tournament directors shall be goldentweety . Any questions during the tournament should be directed to goldentweety or posted in this forum under Tournament Questions and Answers To be eligible: Your rating on January 6 must be 1600 or lower You must be a member of the Knights Templar Club. You must sign up for the tournament on or before Jan 6,2017 -no latejoiners

White has 3 days to initiate the challenge or white will be forfeited from the tournament. Vacation flags unfortunately will not count as far as this tournament is concerned in regards to starting matches or the time control of all moves in 2 months. I suggest you try to challenge as early as possible in case black's settings need to be adjusted. If you are having trouble getting black to accept your challenge, please notify goldentweety as soon as possible to rectify the situation and avoid being disqualified. Set the challenge parameters as U1600 Knights Tournament, 3 days per move, and color white. Any questions on this please post in Tournament questions and answers
goldentweety 07-Jan-17, 07:02	Playing as black For some players, your settings will need to be temporarily adjusted under "Automatic Challenge Decline Rules" to allow for 3 day games. When you receive your pairing please make the necessary adjustments as soon as possible, so that the match can start. After the match starts you can set them back to normal if you like. Black has three days to accept the challenge or they will be forfeited from the tournament. Once again vacation flags do not count as to match acceptance and all moves in 2 months. I suggest you adjust your settings as of the 8th if you receive a PM stating that you are black. If you have not received your challenge in 3 days, please report to goldentweety for a resolution

Use the Pairings and Results Reportings post to report results of matches In the case of a win it is up to the winner to post the results eg Match Results(title) Goldentweety 0 vs the_jim 1 black wins.(body) In the case of a draw it is up to black to report the results eg Match Results Goldentweety 1/2 vs the_jim 1/2 game drawn It is important that match results be reported as GK does not provide a mechanism for automatically reporting results. Any discrepancies can be reported to goldentweety
