No gray area there! I suspect good people do good and bad things, and bad people sometimes do good things. And I suspect people change as well - from mostly bad to mostly good and vice-versa. People are much more complex, I think, than your two sentences suggest. And I would posit that a mostly bad person who becomes a Christian will become a mostly good person through his or heart being changed by the indwelling of God's Holy Spirit. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23) |

I suppose it depends on what he's taught. If he's taught jihad against infidels, he'll probably end up a worse person and possibly a murderer. Fortunately, many Muslims are converting to Christianity at great personal risk due to brave missionaries doing God's work by (sometimes covertly) teaching the Gospel in Muslim countries. |

We're told that those Muslims don't represent "true Islam," but on what authority is that claim made? We're told to "ask a Muslim" if we want to know what Islam is about, as if we were to hop a plane to the Middle East every Muslim would agree. It's always intrigued me that the biggest Muslim apologists I've encountered are atheists. And they tend to base their views on Islam by saying, "Well I lived next door to a Muslim once and he couldn't have been a nicer guy!" |
