TV Series
No matter where you are, Television can be very entertaining. That is, especially, during an interesting series of a show that you really like.

Yes
I have heard of Netflix. In fact, I saw 2 or 3 movies on neflex. But, I don't have netflex myself. Nonethless, I have something almost as good. And, they do include movies with a small fee. But, what they don't charge extra for is TV series. With that being said, I often watch shows on demand. The only thing to take note is that they're considered, "active rentals." So, you only have 24 hours to finish what you started. If you don't it doesn't cost anything, but the penalty for being over that time is that you have start from the beginning, as opposed to, pick up from where you left off. Besides that, it's good and I watch episodes on demand since the main reason I don't watch them live is work schedule. And, for one show, it's just too late at night due to blue ray lights. But, knowing that this option is around helps. I also heard that you can record episodes which I don't know how to do but am yet to explore.
