Sorry State of US Science
Good news finally with regards to science--the House is poised to appoint a chairman to the House Committee on Science and Technology, one who actually loves science.

Since Republicans gained control of the legislature, it has been their practice to elect blithering idiots to chair these committees. I wish I was engaging in hyperbole. I am not.

In the Senate this man is James Inhofe, a moronic (not in the good sense--like Mo, Mo II, etc.) young earth creationist who believes evolution and climate science are hoaxes. He was elected largely as a stiff middle finger salute to our nation's science community.

For the House it is currently Lamar Smith, an idiot from Texas who, like Inhofe, also believes science is stupid.

Yes!!!

There is a good number of valued House Commitees that will be established and and re-instated.

I can't wait for ones that research impeachment proceedings for Trump and his cronies.

These House Committees seem to hold an "interesting", etc power over how our government THINKs, huh?

Am I right or wrong here?

Anti science conservatives used their power to block science they did not like.
