I want to stop smoking and cut down on drinking
It is unclean to smoke and it is not good to drink to much Romans 6:19; 12:1;2 Corinthians 7:1 Did you know that before the flood humans eat only fruit, vegetable and grain and nuts. Afterwards God allowed us to flesh but there was a restriction. Can anyone say what that restriction is?

Add to the above God allowed us to EAT flesh. I missed the word out "eat"

Noah, his sons and their wives were allowed to eat flesh after the flood because there was very little vegetation when the Ark came to rest in the "mountains of Ararat". God had prepared for this by bringing seven clean animals and birds to the Ark. Three pairs could be eaten and one was for sacrifice. In Leviticus, chapter 11, the animals, birds and other creatures are listed which are unclean, and God calls them "abominations". For instance, all the creatures that live on the bottom of the ocean are scavengers, and are meant to clean up the environment. God didn't intend them to be eaten. I, personally, have not knowingly eaten pork, crab, shrimp or lobster for approx. 38 years, except one day when I realized that the bacon bits on my salad were real bacon instead of artificial. What God says in Isaiah chapter 65 is really interesting with regard to swine's flesh, and the latter part of the chapter is also a beautiful picture of the New Heavens and New Earth. Good luck with your efforts to stop smoking and drinking, Jimmy. It will be hard, especially the smoking.

Correction to my above post, ooops - two pairs for eating, one pair for reproduction, as were most of the other species on the Ark. Remember the song, the animals went in two by two, hurrah, hurrah.
