Apostasy Foretold
Jesus and his apostles foretold about the apostasy. They said that the Apostasy will follow their time. They said that there will be an apostasy, a deviation, a falling away from true worship until Christ's return, when true worship would be restored. It will be restored before God restores Earth from the system we know today.

The apostle Paul said this will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:3, 7) Later he foretold that when I have gone fierce wolves will invade you and will have no mercy on the flock. Even from your own ranks there will be men coming forward with a travesty of the truth on their lips to induce the disciples to follow them. (Acts 20:29, 30, Catholic Jerusalem Bible (JB).
Other disciples of Jesus also wrote of this apostasy with its lawless clergy class, for example 2 Peter 2:1; 1 John 4:1-3; Jude 3, 4.

Paul also wrote: The time will come when people are not content with sound teaching, people will be avid for the latest novelty and collect themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own tastes: and then, instead of listening to the truth, they will turn to myths 2 Timothy 4:3, 4, (JB).

Jesus explained what was behind this falling away from true worship. He said that he had sowed good seeds, but the enemy, Satan, would oversow the field with weeds. So along with the first blades of wheat, the weeds appeared also. Thus a deviation from pure Christianity was to be expected until the harvest, when Christ would set maters right. (Matthew 13:24-43)

Thank you Shirl (M2). It would be interesting if we can identify the myths (2 Timothy 4:3, 4, (JB)

I see that inhis_service has been accepted into the Club. I know that Frank is very familiar with the Watchman on the Wall scripture. Perhaps he will post it for us. It comes from Ezekiel, chapter 33.

The Watchman on the Wall scripture is very significant for those who believe in our Lord Jesus Christ.

I hope so and that they are Christians who like me want to know if they are following the correct words of God and his Son Jesus and their disciple's. I really don't need the views of scientist, as that stuff don't belong here!
There is a misunderstanding in religion about religion and that is what I am focusing on. Jesus said that Eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom he sent. So our entire future hinges on knowing the true nature of God, and that means getting to the root of any myths

WATCHMAN ON THE WALL
This is the scripture referenced above. Most people probably are not familiar with it.

"So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore, thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in the iniquity, but thou hast delivered thy soul. Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel. Thus speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live? Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn ye, turn from your evil ways, for why will ye die, O house of Israel." Ezekiel, Chapter 33, verses 7 to 11.

I have no doubt that this applies to us today. I think the last verse is beautiful. Our merciful Lord does not want any of us to die in our sins. He wants to save us all.

There is so much evil in this world that it seems a good time to bring the above scripture BACK to the attention of all people who are inclined not to believe it. THE WATCHMAN ON THE WALL.
