Introductions
Lets start with a thread for new Club members to say hi. Hi! GameKnot member since 2005 here, but no idea since when I am a lifetime member.

Peace Be Unto Y'all
I live in Eastern Washington, where the night sky is reasonably dark near the new moon when not otherwise cloudy or filled with smoke. Of course, we could do so much better. Street lights, and buildings casting light upon their walls. This excess light disrupts nocturnal wildlife for tens o hundreds of miles beyond municipal boundaries, drowning out the stars. Much of mankind under thirty years of age have never seen the light of the Milky Way.

Weston
Weston11 has been a member since 2009. Since that's 10 years it is $500, so I reckon it qualifies him for membership to this elite club. Welcome, Weston!

New to club
J. Garcia said to me once that ‘you’re only as young as you dance’. @ 59 I still spin/dance once a week. Good w/openings but usually lose my adv. during middle/end. Lots of hours...Weston

Platinum lifetime member too
Glad to play rated games.

Youth
I read somewhere that you're only as young as the woman you feel. Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump took that to heart just way too much. I have a T-shirt that reads, "I'd rather be break dancing." I almost wore it today.

dodgerdog00
dodgerdog00 has been a member since October 2006, which on the internet is ancient history. Therefore, I have approved his application to join the club.

I started inviting people to come joint the club--if they had paid memberships and had been members at least ten years. Then I noticed the club dues are up in September, and there is no club owner. Is someone going to renew?
I'd renew it, but I don't know how to do that. Is it even possible to take ownership of an already existing club?
Ownership
I asked. GK says they cannot. I'm in IT, so I believe it is possible--probably not even all that difficult. But they won't do it--even if offered payment. However, they WILL apparently accept payment to continue a club. I would imagine this would be the case only if the club had moderators, but they might not care. I don't know what happens to clubs without an owner or moderator.
I agree that appointing a new club owner should be technically trivial. Most likely they simply don't have a procedure for it in place. That said, I still wouldn't know how to pay the fee. There is no button "pay club dues", or am I overlooking something? Alternatively, we could simply start a knew club. What do the other members think?
Since there seems to be little interest in keeping the club running, I will let it laps. We'll just consider this tourney a one time thing.
Lapse
This club dies on or about September 5th, two weeks from today. I hope the tournament doesn't die with it. I suspect it should continue just fine.
