The Conservative view.................
In a thread called rat infested Baltimore, in the fake neutral club, this 'conservative' posted, And i quote '' In a crisis they could live for weeks.''.And a nice smile at the end. That's all i need to know about this and other 'Conservatives'.They are despicable. Rotten to the core. ''And we all know who''. If Baltimore is a rat infested city, then the neutral club is infested with rabid Nationalist Scum.

I am gathering a very large list of posts by this organism and others. After all we need to take them at their word. Right?? When i read their posts i think of this;www.youtube.com

Is Baltimore rat infested? Is Baltimore liberally controlled? Answer is yes and yes. Are liberals responsible for the infestation? I believe the answer is obvious and those people are pitiful and disgusting in their ignorance, arrogance and foolishness. When I read their posts I think of an ignorant ass, smug in their self importance.

@ thumper about neutrality
"So ply me not with the 'we're the truly neutral ground club'. All evidence to the contrary."
I cannot speak for the whole club. Personally, I do not pretend to be neutral and why should I ?
In fact, I'm definitely a leftist and assume it (for me it's not an insult  )

That's precisely why I'm interested in reading your arguments (and defend my point of view).

Is it an unreasonable attitude ?

<I do not pretend to be neutral and why should I? Is it an unreasonable attitude?>
I don't think so. You'd not have your opinion if you thought it wrong or incorrect. The same goes with me.

Welcome!
Thanks ptitroque for putting it that way!

This is the welcome thread of Fiat Lux. Thumper now got a mighty welcome, and please let's reserve this thread for further welcomes and move all else elsewhere

Let me remind you all that you are free to open new threads, unless you find an old one that fits your intentions!

Organism Attacks Baltimore
I opened a new thread touching on this subject, and invite further commentary there.

That's OK. I just wish that no derogatory epithets be used for the American President in this Club. And that includes "Organism". It is quite enough to bring facts forward - there is no need to enhance that artificially!

Warmest Welcome, Softaire!
I'm glad you decided to rejoin us. I place you in the class of conservatives that includes Charles Krauthammer, John McCain, William Safire, (so sad they are all dead) and (to throw in a remaining live one) Peggy Noonan.

Intellectuals with honesty and integrity who still held onto conservative values.

Mini Tournament
The First Invitational Fiat Lux Tournament is still going. It turns out all the remaining games are mine.

We will definitely have to do another one of those.

Geez I must be slow. Sorry about that! Just trying to heed BC's advice, I guess.

Isity
Welcome.

"I'll let you know which one is the best."
I guess it's a question of point of view, very subjective, in fact. For a good part, depending of your ability to admit opposite opinions, sometimes shocking ones.

Whatever your opinions may be, you'll find some here !

isity...
...welcome aboard. This club is not perfect, but is restrained in very mutually respectful ways that keep good conversations meaningful as well. I'm eager to engage in this way ... and sometimes I just read/listen to the arguments as I form my conclusions, and say little. Let's hear about what you have observed or do observe.
