The way Epstein was found plus the injuries should quite clearly indicate what happened. Hyoid bone fracture is typical of strangulation - all depends on exactly where the force was excecuted.
thumper 15-Aug-19, 23:43	Stal True that. A properly applied rear naked choke would break no bones in the neck. It just cuts blood supply (and oxygen) to the brain. Hold it long enough and the inevitable happens.   But a guillotine choke or 'rapist choke' could damage the hyoid bone.

apatzer 16-Aug-19, 03:50	ptitroque No I don't wish to assist. Just for them to produce the body. If he hung himself, it is possible the findings would mimic strangulation. Perhaps he had been informed by his lawyers on exactly what they took via the multiple search warrants that were executed

I would say that the difference is very very small, statistically speaking. All depends on precisely the method, the used "hardware" etc. What is much more important is the records from the prison, the guards on watch, the stgate of the cell, etc. I really think that in an American prison it should be easily determined what happened.
