![]() Very informative and interesting video. I need to get out more often, too! Thank you. |

![]() For my long range handgun shooting I use a Glock 35 with a 5.31" barrel chambered in .40 S&W, a Colt Python with a 6" barrel (.357 Mag), and a Ruger Redhawk with a 7.5" barrel (.44 Mag). For combat type shooting I use the Glock 35, a Glock 23 (compact .40 S&W), and a Ruger GP100 with a 4" barrel (.357 Mag). I haven't been able to shoot much lately but I normally go through as much as 25k rounds per year of mostly handloaded ammo. |

![]() Is shooting guns and hand loading bullets the only thing you do other than sitting around the firehouse and riding dirt bikes? You must be in love with your guns, thump. Stalh: Your "Thump: Do you hunt birds for food?" Probably for sport, just like those squirrels he brags about for his pistol practice. How many you wild cat, etc trophies are hanging on your walls, thump? Do you consider yourself to be a "great white hunter", thump? |

![]() www.bing.com Quail www.bing.com Chukar www.bing.com Grouse I've never shot a turkey though I have a flock that cycles through my property regularly. They're too big for a single meal and I don't mind them hanging out so I just leave them to their own devices. |

![]() What I actually said is, <I normally go through as much as 25k rounds per year of mostly handloaded ammo.>, not <25,000 hand loaded rounds per year> as you try to restate. Even so, I can load as many as 800 rounds per hour with the Dillon XL650 Reloader but usually keep it at about 500-600 or so per hour. If I were in a rush, I could load a full year's supply of 25k in less than a week. What's the big deal? <sitting around the firehouse>? We're seldom in the firehouse. <Probably for sport, just like those squirrels he brags about for his pistol practice.> The ground squirrels here are very destructive and prolific. Population control is necessary. <Do you consider yourself to be a "great white hunter", thump?> Who said I'm white? I'm a better fisherman than hunter. <How many you wild cat, etc trophies are hanging on your walls, thump?> I don't have a problem with trophy hunters but I'm not one so no, nothing on the walls. You really don't know much about life away from the city do you? Your belligerent and argumentative arrogance isn't warranted but hey, your lack of awareness is amazing. |

![]() I'll always defer to anyone I believe knows more than I do. Always. |

![]() I agree and do the same thing myself. That's a great way to learn and advance to the high level you can achieve. What I always try to do is find the very best person in a particular discipline and do what they do until I can maybe one day surpass them. If you hangout with people who think 25 yards is as far as a handgun is effective then that's what you'll believe and may even regurgitate that belief, but if you hangout with people who are regular long range handgun shooters (200 yards+) or long range rifle shooters (1000 yards+) then that's where your paradigm will be. |

![]() Seriously, I wish I could take you up in this, and go to a shooting range on a regular basis. However, my circumstances prevent me from doing so. Glad to know you're be professional about being a gun owner. |

![]() The national games include air rifle and pistol competition. Nine The target size is about 1.5" diameter for rifle, and the bulls-eye (center of the target) is slightly larger than the .177 pellet. There are 6-practice targets and about 15 competition targets on each paper sheet, but if you can't hit at-least 7 of the bulls eyes there's no reason to compete. The last try I had a hand at it, I used the provided $6,000.00 air rifle but was only able to muster 2 bulls eyes. One of our team members once picked-up a bronze metal in the competition but he can consistently hit 7 or more bulls eyes. Air rifles are, of course, far safer than assault weapons and Uzis's, and air pistols are safer than a 9 mm glock --- not to mention the 357 and 40 magnums that thump seems to prefer. Mo |

![]() Nevertheless we do have a stable air-gun industry here. Offerings range from the old Daisy Red Riders shooting a .177 BB to the modern Seneca Dragon Claw shooting a 300gr .50 cal. projectile. Some that I've seen are amazingly accurate. www.airgundepot.com |

![]() Incredibly, right here in Texas, Second Amendment capital of America is considering spending $ 1 Million for a "gun safety" advertising campaign! IMO that money would be better spent publicizing this true story. "Woman shoots, kills intruder at her Kaufman County home" www.wfaa.com A PERFECT example for why we need to be armed. |
