<<Why Christians Don't Talk About the Rapture>>

youtu.be

Video is 24:05

From the video description:

<<When I felt The Lord calling me to YouTube in 2020 I wondered what He wanted me to share. I had my testimony and healing from a long term drinking problem, but what was it He was trying to show me? After three months of seeking and praying The Lord put end times and the rapture of the church on my heart!! My life was completely changed the night this happened. The blessing of sharing what I’ve learned in the Bible far outweighs the opposition to Biblical Prophecy. Most surprising is how so many christians avoid these Biblical truths even when they promise a blessing.>>

The Euphrates River is drying up, which is a Biblical prophecy of the End Times, but the timing of this happening is odd.

In the Bible (specifically Revelation,) the Euphrates River isn’t supposed to dry up until well into the Tribulation.

“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.”

(Revelation 16:12)

In fact, in the Bible, the Euphrates River drying up appears to immediately precede Jesus Christ’s Second Coming and the Battle of Armageddon.

Concerning the prophecy in Revelation 16:12, gotquestions.org takes the position that the current drying up of the Euphrates River is not related to End Times prophecy.

<<The second prediction of the Euphrates River drying up comes as part of the seven bowl judgments in Revelation. The judgments of the seven-year tribulation start with the seven seals (Revelation 6:1–17; 8:1–5), continue with the seven trumpets (Revelation 8:6—9:21; 11:15–19), and end with the seven bowls (Revelation 16:1–21). The bowl judgments come at the end of the tribulation, and they are so destructive that, if they continued, all human life would perish (Mark 13:19–20).

The sixth bowl judgment—the penultimate judgment of the tribulation—is the drying up of the Euphrates River. Revelation 16:12 says, “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.” This prophecy not only identifies the judgment but also gives the reason for it: so a great army from the East can cross the Euphrates unimpeded.

Next, the kings of the earth gather “to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon” (Revelation 16:16). At that point, Jesus returns, and the battle fought at Armageddon will result in all God’s enemies being destroyed (Revelation 16:17–20; 19:11–21). A key event leading up to Armageddon is the drying up of the Euphrates. Are we witnessing the setup for the fulfillment of a major end-times prophecy?>>

<<The current drying up of the Euphrates is not related to the prophecy of Revelation 16:12, for these reasons:

1) The sixth bowl judgment comes near the end of the tribulation. Before the sixth bowl, the Antichrist will rise to power, the two miracle-working prophets will preach, and many terrible judgments will occur. We are not in the tribulation now.

2) According to Revelation 18:17–19, Babylon in the end times will do much commerce by ship, suggesting that the rivers in that area are freely flowing during the tribulation, at least for a while.

3) The supernatural drying up of the Euphrates in Revelation 16:12 allows an army from the Orient to march westward. No such army is threatening Israel now.

When it comes time for the Battle of Armageddon, the Euphrates River will indeed dry up. The current water level of the Euphrates, the revealing of ruins and caves, etc., has nothing to do with Revelation 16:12. That simply hasn’t happened yet.>>

Apparently some interesting discoveries have been made through the drying up of the Euphrates River, but it’s hard to know what’s fact and what’s sensationalism.

Interesting…

THESE PEOPLE WILL BE LEFT BEHIND DURING THE RAPTURE!

youtu.be

Video is 8:11

Here’s my summary of who the video says will be left behind in the Rapture…

1) The self righteous - those who reject the righteousness found in Jesus Christ and rely on themselves to be righteous before God.

2) Those who do not follow Christ. To me, this means those who are “false converts” - who intellectually assent to the Gospel but do not believe the Gospel in their hearts. This, imo, also can be expressed as those who don’t possess or walk in God’s Holy Spirit. And walking in the Spirit is not done by self-effort or willpower. It’s done by communing with God through reading His Word and prayer.

One of the reasons I think Jesus Christ told people to pray in private is He wanted them to pray honestly - to drop all pretenses and tell God what was genuinely on their hearts without worrying about what anyone else would think.

3) Unbelievers. Those who reject the salvation found in Jesus Christ. At the root of this rejection, imo, is pride - unbelievers think they’re good enough to get into Heaven based on how they lived their lives; not realizing God’s standard is perfection and not seeing their many, many sins and failures. That’s why, I think, so many of the so-called elite are blind to their numerous sins and failures and blind to their need for forgiveness and God.

The unbelievers’ rejection of salvation found in Christ, imo and in my experience, is not due to atheism or agnosticism. Because I’ve never encountered an unbeliever who undertook a serious effort to determine the veracity of Jesus Christ’s Resurrection or the existence of God. The former proves the latter and is much easier to investigate.

Dishonesty??? Trolling????

Nothing is lost, because as history has shown 'discussion' with you is not possible. Whenever you encounter matters that you cannot dispute you call them names (dishonesty, trolling, etc). You eventually do this with all people who engage is a trial to discuss with you. VF got the same treatment even though he is 'on your side'.

"Ironic" And Deadly "Dominoe Effect" Among Haters Of Christianity
After watching the video from Victor's 01:09 post (which is very accurate) I was reflecting on what "a sense of humor" God has.

The same anti God/ Christian political party which is driving Russia to start the next World War through "support for Ukraine"; Is the same political party which supplying the means for Iran to finance this recent Hamas terrorist attack on Israel which has forced them to declare a war there in the Middle East.

As this continues to play out it appears certain that Putin is going to be pulled into fulfilling Biblical prophecy because of the greed and ineptitude of the American President now in office.

God's "foolishness" truly is wiser than man's wisdom! (1 Corinthians 1:25)

"For the foolishness of God is wiser than mankind, and the weakness of God is stronger than mankind."

Video is 8:35

When I became a Christian, I knew nothing about the Rapture and only learned about it recently. Churches (at least the ones I attended) didn’t talk about it, but I think it’s completely Biblical. I think it’s hard to read verses commonly associated with the Rapture any other way.

I think the next thing to look for is whether Israel invades Gaza on the ground and whether Russia joins Iran in fighting against Israel.

I pray every day for peace in both Israel and the broader Middle East, for God’s will to be done and for the safety of Jeff (Morgan) and Elisha from the YouTube channel “So Be It” and their families. And I thank God for being in control.

Good video by Dana Rankin on salvation, a necessary possession of those to be Raptured…

Video is 10 minutes

From the video description:

<<If You are a born-again believer then you do not need to fear being left behind at the rapture. If only those that are walking in perfection are taken...Then we would all be left behind. The blood of Jesus paid Our sin debt in full along with our transport home whether it be by death or rapture! >>

She mentions these verses in Ephesians, which in my mind support both salvation by Grace through faith alone, and eternal security in salvation.

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”

Is this tied to prophecy in Isaiah written 2,700 years ago?

<<'I've never seen anything like this': Death Valley gleams with water, wildflowers and color

Death Valley is still wet. And only a fortunate few seem to be getting the best of it.

Two months after a storm that dropped a year's rainfall in a single day, flooding roads, destroying trails and closing down the park, the national park's Oct. 15 reopening revealed a strange place made stranger.

The famously flat and dry Badwater Basin now is home to a sprawling but temporary lake, visible from water's edge and 5,575 feet above at Dante's View.

Between sand dunes at Mesquite Flat, you might stumble on a puddle or a pond. In Mosaic and Golden canyons, where floodwaters surged in August, scattered boulders and silt have reshaped the narrow passages, hinting at violence just concluded. Across the plains and slopes, you see more green than usual and sometimes yellow and orange wildflowers, apparently blooming out of seasonal confusion.>>

“The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.”

This is the entire chapter of Isaiah 35, followed by excerpts from an interesting commentary on it. The commentary says the land referenced in Isaiah 35 is Israel so the news article about what’s happening in Death Valley would, according to this commentary, be unrelated to that chapter but is still interesting (at least to me.)

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”

(Isaiah 35)

<<Isaiah 35

Description

Isaiah sees the restoration and healing that God will bring to Israel when he comes as Messiah. The prophecies in this chapter were partially fulfilled in Jesus' first coming, and will be completed at his second coming.>>

<<Verses 5 to 10 describe what Israel will be like after his second coming, when he comes to 'avenge' and with 'divine retribution' to deliver Israel. In other words, they describe what it will be like during the Millennium. Verses 5 to 7 say, "Then blind eyes will open, deaf ears will hear. Then the lame will leap like a deer, the mute tongue will shout for joy; for water will flow in the desert, streams in the wilderness.">>

<<Verse 7 says, "The dry soil will become a pool of water, the parched ground springs of water. Where jackals once lived and sprawled out, grass, reeds, and papyrus will grow." This transformation and healing of Israel's desert is the complete opposite of what will happen to Edom, Israel's Arab enemy, according to Isaiah 34.>>

This excerpt speaks to why Isaiah 35 refers to Jesus Christ’s Second Coming…

<<In his first coming, Jesus did not come to 'avenge', or to deliver Israel with 'divine retribution'. Instead he came to provide a solution for the sins of mankind such that sinful humanity can be restored into relationship [with] a holy God. So his healing ministry during his first coming is out-of-sequence with that implied by Isaiah 35 and should be understood as a partial fulfilment, with the complete fulfilment occurring after his second coming.

During his first coming, Jesus healed many in Israel, but not the nation as a whole. Similarly today, the blooming of Israel's desert is in part, but is still an end-time sign that the second coming of Christ is imminent.

At the last trumpet, Jesus' followers will be resurrected and raptured, receiving glorified and perfectly healed immortal bodies (1 Corinthians 15:35-58 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). And after the people of Israel return to faith and recognise Jesus as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10), they will experience Jesus' continued healing ministry (Isaiah 29:18) in the age to come. This healing ministry will not just be for people, but also for the land. Isaiah 35 will be fulfilled in its completeness.>>

These are good and comprehensive videos on why the Rapture is imminent. In short, it’s because the Tribulation is at the door and the Rapture takes place before it. Also, who thinks the state of the world at the time of the Rapture, as described in this passage, will be present much longer given what’s happening in the Middle East?

“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Carol Vey on the timing of the Rapture…

youtu.be

Video is 24:18

From the video description:

<<When we study the rapture of the church we realize that this event was taught as an imminent event - that it was soon, near, at the door. And yet these scriptures were written almost 2000 years ago. Today as we see all of the end times signs converging worldwide like never before we realize that it could be now. If not now, then when?

“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.” (Philippians 3:20-21)>>

I think what’s happening in the Middle East is key to the timing of the Rapture - specifically whether and when other nations get involved.

I’m also influenced by the Berisheet Passover Prophecy, which predicted (based on the Hebrew text in the Old Testament,) Jesus Christ’s Second Coming in 2030 (and therefore a pre-Tribulation Rapture in 2023.)

But I think the pastor who said plan like the Rapture’s not for 100 years but live like it’s today had a good point. I think it’s very soon and have the same expectation and anticipation of many other Christians. But once it happens, there’s no going back - the unsaved on earth will go through the Tribulation and either remain unsaved or become believers and die a martyr’s death.

God’s patience with unrepentant sinners is evident throughout the Bible, and it’s understandable why God, who wants all to be saved according to 2 Peter 3:9, has yet to sound the trumpet.

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”
