Even right wing sites like WND admit it. I suspect conservative denial was based on their theory they will easily defeat their enemies and win their culture war. Now they start to see we just won’t accept their “facts”, minority tyranny or their values. Unless centrism gets traction it’s probably over.

We are too different and it’s time to face reality Discussions related to that topic can and will go nowhere. Rejection of a more centrist view by the right who purges anyone who criticizes Trump because they think Trump won is a given. I just posted bothsidesism as a better approach. I have no illusions it is realistic given the basic differences—it’s just what could have been. The USA is in a cold civil war and I am confident it will get hot; as I am Nothing and I will remain enemies and have zero respect for each other. That’s not an attack it is reality!

The American system is the oldest modern semi democracy and our system age and failure to modernize and fix the basic issues that led to the first civil war is showing: nypost.com. The biggest American failure,history will show, was believing it’s own myths. In fact: We are only 19th in terms of happiness and a flawed democracy ranked only 26th. But we criticize and mock better countries and better systems rather than emulate them. Like other historic failureS America’s day of reckoning seems fated and is coming. His goal is to see if he can make enemies between each of us all by insulting, mocking, belittling, name-calling, and telling everyone how bad we are. He would love to prove himself right and it has become his goal in life. Personally, I think that a fairly low-energy goal. And he has not had much success considering he has been at it for years. However, he was able to drive Stalhandske out of two clubs.

I agree with dmaestro in a philosophical sense. The USA was the first great democratic republic. We blazed an amazing trail and many other countries have since followed with varying success. We should adopt success and cull failures as we move forward, progressing through time as is inevitable. We should look at the constitutions of all current successful countries and examine the elements that are similar between them that make them successful.
