Do you take Ex members back?
I always have but is it a wise thing to do?

I guess it depends how they left..... and why

Even if I hadn't closed my club, if someone would leave on their own, I'd just accept them back, no matter what. That is, assuming I can considering that they stay a premium member. And, almost the same thing is true on my team.

Interesting this was brought up considering I just did this, a member wanted to leave and return when their rating improved. I welcomed them back when they were ready just the other day.

I always leave the door open for former members to come back. I don't think any members I've kicked have ever taken the opportunity, except one who I did welcome back, only to kick them again when they left again   They have since come back but gone to another team...and left Gameknot once again I think...

If one is willing, I'm happy to welcome them back to the team, but if it is in regards to timeouts, I would hope they are willing to make any needed adjustments. Other issues, like inactivity, I think can generally be handled better, but that's just from my experience...you saw the player I mentioned above after all

If I remove a player due to timeouts, I will place notes on their player profile, especially if I set certain conditions for their return.

If they leave without any notice to me or the team, I will PM them and ask them. Most will reply, albeit a few days later.

I have welcomed players back with whom I have had sharp disagreements because no one should be kept off my team due to my own pride being hurt.

I also do not kick off someone who argues with me, although I am not afraid to remove a teammate who undermines me from executing my duties as a team captain. That includes taking our disagreement public (like on the team's forum or another public method).

I believe in forgiveness because forgiveness is necessary for the forgiver, as well as the forgiven person. It allows you to release the other person off your "hook", so to speak. It helps prevent any bitterness.

Treat like your parents to the team members.
I can fully agree with that without any reservations. Amen

I've very rarely considered kicking anyone for a reason outside of team games, it's almost always timeouts. I actually can't recall ever having an argument with any of my team members...except one...I do have a former team for a reason

While I've been in control, there have been a couple who were either bitter about something and/or someone else...or I just ended up questioning their sanity, but those all left of their own accord before I could react probably, but even then I wasn't planning on kicking them.
