![]() Let me retract on that... Of course I'm good at Chess I'm kind of rated between 1200 and 1400 so I'm good at chess at my current stage in chess. Most important thing is to have fun WIN DRAW or LOSE. I joined a Team THE FORCE Jimmy UK |

![]() I don't think I will be playing team matches for long as I actually make moves in minutes my opponent takes days. Furthermore my opponent has many timeouts and his past rating is high. I think Team games are not for me! I won my first team game though and we had a fun game and both played fast moves |

![]() I'm quite taken back about this as I would never match myself against a player who takes one or more days to make a move. |

![]() jimpanzee you've got a good Captain at "the Force" who will add your preferences to the team home page if you stay ... Riccardo already does this for his players ... Matching you twice against the same player is a mistake in my opinion...but it's done ... you can set the amount of team games your comfortable with by going to team settings ...once the team know what you want you can change anytime... which could help as your on a very active team ! If you haven't set any preferences a Captain will assume your ok with their choices unless you let them know |

![]() You may be thinking, 1300 + 400 = 1700, so why isn't my team rating close to 1700 since I won all three games? Well, adjustments to the individual team rating are based not upon the opposing player's rating but instead upon the opposing player's team rating. From the looks of it, at the time your games ended, your opponents' team ratings were 1070, 1078, and 1142. [(1070 + 400) + (1078 + 400) + (1142 + 400) / 3] = 4490/3 = 1497. And, okay, 1497 is not 1504. So evidently one or more of your opponents had a slightly higher team rating when the game began than that opponent had when the game ended. After the provisional period ends, postgame adjustments to the team rating become more complicated but will generally be approximately +10 points for a win, 0 points for a draw, and -10 points for a loss. |

![]() It appears that the team rating for the first 20 team games are handled like the first 20 regular games (except for the 1200 rating during the first 5 regular games). You defeated players whose team ratings are now 1142, 1070 & 1078. Your team rating is thus around ((1142+400) + (1070+400) + (1078+400))/3 = (1542 + 1470 + 1478)/3 = 1497. The difference between your current team rating of 1504 & 1497 must be due to those opponents team ratings not being the same then as now. |
