Man versus woman in sports
youtu.be
youtu.be
There was a big outcry when a transgender woman ( biological male ) was allowed to compete in wt. lifting competition and won. Man has the advantage of stronger, bigger muscle mass due to many years of male hormone testosterone effect. Some women are protesting that it is unfair for transgender women to compete in contact sports and other sports which require muscle power.

Chess is a different story. All of you are aware that chess uses brain power. I am not sure, is chess can be considered a sport ? IMHO, the answer is yes. If so, why do we have separate tournaments in high level chess ? The answer is that women will have little or no chances to win in men dominated chess tournaments. Former woman world chess champion Judit Polgar wanted to erase the myth that women are inferior in chess by competing in men's tournament. So far, she has not succeeded in becoming the world chess champion of both men and women/

Similar to Judit Polgar, former woman world chess champion, Chinese Hou Yifan tried to compete in men's chess tournaments but she followed the same fate as Polgar. The above youtube is a chess game between Magnus Carlsen and Hou Yifan. Both have the highest chess ratings in both mens and womens' category. Please watch the game. How will you draw conclusion ?

Physical sports that pit man-v-woman is a no brainer, man wins every time. I'm not talking about the best woman in the world in that sport against some average Joe off the street. If you matched up a good local pro man fighter against any of the top women in the world in the same weight division, the woman would loose... badly.

The best WNBA team couldn't beat a Division III college team.

And then there's chess. Women regularly beat the crap out of men. I think the problem at the higher levels is simply that there aren't enough women players interested enough or encouraged to play at those levels.

Seriously
"Physical sports that pit man-v-woman is a no brainer, man wins every time."
What an outdated sexist view ..I'm guessing your a man ... of a certain age group or range ... who can't handle women empowerment ...

Rachael Blackmore this year won probably the most famous steeplechase in the world ( 30 fences 4 miles ) The Grand National... against the best male professional jockeys ... it wasn't a fluke she's also won the Champion Hurdle ... if that's not a physical sport I don't know what is..

Elementary, My dear Watson.
youtu.be
Have you ever read Sherlock Holmes classic detective stories ? Dr. Watson is a friend of detective Sherlock Holmes who solved many crimes by simple analytical brain power. Like a GM in chess, he could see the minute detail and could deduct how the crime was committed.

Thanks amacivn for mentioning the story of a woman jockey who won the race against male jockeys. The analogy is inappropriate because the race is run by a horse who uses his muscle power. She is just a jockey who rode the horse. She did not use her muscle power that you can witness in a 100 m sprint. Therefore, I will congratulate the horse she rode. This is like an auto race such as Daytona 500 where woman can compete just like a chess game.

Now the question is, " Can a male horse can run much better than a mare ? "

Women bear the burden of reproduction.
youtu.be
Why can't a woman be more like a man ? This is a good question.
Thanks to Thumper who mentions that if more women play chess, there will come a day when woman will be crowned Queen and will become world chess champion of both men and women. I absolutely agree.

The question is, why more women do not play chess ? Are they not interested in chess ? According to the legend , chess originated in India and initially it was called Chaturanga. In ancient India, there were a lot of warring factions among the nobilities. The king wanted his country to be peaceful and invented the chess. Now the nobilities could play chess peacefully on boards instead of killing and destroying each other in the battle fields. IMO, male hormone, testosterone play a significant role in male aggressiveness and fighting spirit. Female still has very low testosterone and therefore, they are not very much interested in fighting chess games. Mind you that chess is a nerve wrecking very aggressive game for those chess lovers.

The third possible theory is that women have the burden of reproduction during their most productive age. Biological age to bear children will be ticking away, if they neglect their child bearing problem. Pregnancy requires 9 months of tender loving care of fetus in mother's womb and when the baby is born, the sibling needs more care. How can the women concentrate on chess when they are overburdened with pregnancy and child care ? I have read GM Judit Polga's autobiography. If I can remember, she said that her chess career was disrupted due to pregnancy and child bearing. She could not therefore become the world chess champion of both men and women.

What gender gap in chess ?
en.chessbase.com
by Wei Ji Ma I like it! | 0 CommentsI like it!
10/15/2020 – If you want to compare chess achievements between men and women, writes Professor Wei Ji Ma of NYU, given their vastly unequal numbers, it is a very bad idea to focus on the top male and female players. If you do you will need to account for the participation gap using an analysis similar to the one he presents. Prof. Ma supplies the tools needed to refute the theory of female inferiority.

Don't get me wrong. I am not a sexist. I am very grateful to my mother who did not abort me. This is the argument I always made against the pro-abortionists. I will ask, " Don't you thank your mother who did not abort you ? They don't have good replies. The above is the article from chessbase. It refutes the theory that women are inferior in chess.

Just like when Booby Riggs defeated Billie Jean King.

Re: Man vs. woman in sports
Of course it's unfair for transgender women to compete in women's sports. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure that one out!! Again, we see the lunacy of the left on wide open display to think that it would be fair for a man to put on a wig, claim he's a female and then compete against woman!! But then again it's the left we are talking about here and remember, Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!!
