 14-Nov-10, 22:31 [ delete ] Team message: Ladder position #324 Beginning with this team message Greetings everyone! Hopefully you are becoming more at ease with team games and teams play in general. We have made our first appearance on the team ladder, debuting at … drum roll … #324 (out of 325 teams). However, we will not stay in that position long. We have completed one team match which was a draw: click on TEAMS then go to the bottom of the page and you will see Kings of the Castle. Click on about anything you want for more information. We also made our first appearance on the team table, which you can click in the upper left hand corner of this same page. The list is the team ELO rating starting at 1200, just as for new player rating. You will not have to scroll down at all! 5. Kings of the Castle 1449 11 27 49. We have won 19 team games and lost 8. We should remain in the top 20-35 teams in this category as we are a reasonably large, high rated team. We are ranked #138 in team score. If we win 52-55% of our team games we will be competitive on the team ladder. Please do not be bummed if your team score is negative, as team games seem to be harder that other types of games. I witnessed a player on our previous team go from -18 to zero in three months. I’m pleased to say he is currently on our team. More news, etc: We can no longer accept non-premium members the limit is “up to 30” on a team - we have 29. If any non-premium member was thinking of going premium, now is the time. Personally, I think it is worth it and Gameknot has made several important improvements in my one year on this site. Note about non-premium members: when that green light comes on (see forum: “Those little green dots“) I will generally submit a team challenge with you in mind. The process to submit a challenge to final approval by both captains could take some time, up to 24 hours or longer, so be patient. If you do start a game please make it an important one, lol, and let me know. One thing to remember, as we move up the ladder teams will challenge us and we will have some more favorable matches (by rating) than we currently receive. The last player joined, kamilland, asked to be removed after his 1st team match. He was the player that lost both games in the drawn match. sonofdnb (Papy) won both his games in that match and is 6-0 in team matches! Interesting first team match pairing: philidorh vs. philipdor.
