perfect_spy 05-Aug-24, 14:20	He wins team games and Tournament games but loses most others to keep his rating down so he can make the Finals of GK Tournaments. I reported him to GK but heard nothing back. I’ll send his team captain a message, but all this cheater will do is join another team.

wasatch 07-Aug-24, 06:56	@Perfect_spy OK, you Captains need to NOT play this team…and let their Captain know they are in the penalty box for abetting a cheater. This is the only way to protect your teams since GK will not police their members. It really is up to you.

riaannieman 07-Aug-24, 23:44	I did a quick check of the last ten personal games of migeri. He doesn't use algorithms that my platform can detect. But I only checked 10 games because I am hard pressed for time. An analyses of a large sample of his games must be done to determine trends, habits and the use of chess algorithms.

wasatch 08-Aug-24, 08:43	Ok, I posted some cheater criteria in another thread. I need to add a team win percentage above 60%…so Migeri meets 3 of 6 of the criteria. …I contend that Migeri bears heavy watching. …I’m now going to look at some of his wins.

By itself that doesn’t mean anything, of course—we have all beaten players who outrank us by even wider margins on a good day. But it is indicative of his true skill level. He fortunately has only four team games running at the moment. game In the same match he is down two points as black.

wasatch 08-Aug-24, 09:12	@perfect_spy Simple, He is using league games to lower his rating… …so that he gets a rating advantage for his team games. If I were running a team, I would NOT play any matches with his team, period. If they allow Migeri, they will allow others.

saguaro 08-Aug-24, 09:50	@beard Agreed. Let's focus on migeri. Although you are more patient than I. When I determined that players were manipulating, I dropped them immediately, not wanting any unfairness on the team.
wasatch 08-Aug-24, 11:58	@beard1720 I suggest you read thru the postings here on how hard it is to get GK to do anything about these clowns who cheat. Perhaps then…you might realize the ONLY method of control team captains have is to work thru other team captains. In other words, you have to police yourselves. I’m not on any teams but we have similar problems “policing” tournament players and in that case hardly anyone else thinks it is their problem. At least you team members have an effective method thru mutual common interest. …sorry if it came across as harsh.
riaannieman 11-Aug-24, 23:52	Don't crucify beard1720 because of one of his players. He has assured us he is taking steps. Let us give him some time to work the problem. SWAT has not played a lot with the Phoenixes, but the games we did play ended well for us all. As long as beard1720 keeps an eye on his players, I am still happy to take challenges from them.

wasatch 12-Aug-24, 06:42	Ok, I apologized. As for the rest of you, please realize that migeri’s team win % is 63%. That is extremely hard to do without “help”.
