QG is the story of chess genius Elizabeth Harmon who defeated the world chess champion. During the game, she will look at the ceiling and all the winning chess moves will appear. The story of her appears in series made by NETFLIX. It is the talk of the chess town. Even Magnus Carlson has very much interest in it as a chess fan. Please check the above youtube videos about the QG game between her and GM Borgov.

It’s not about a chess game, it’s about the cost of genius. Take a deeper look into how Scott Frank, Anya Taylor-Joy, and the team behind The Queen’s Gambit brought this acclaimed series to life.

She grew up in orphanage. At that time, the kids were sedated. She felt very lonely and the only solace she would get was by playing chess. She was addicted to drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. At this point I disagree that how can a drug addict can play good chess ? Amphetamines and Cocaine can make you high for a moment but the long term abuse of them can damage the brain to the point of an idiot.

It is a good Netflix mini series movies to watch with some chess games. Even Magnus Carson watched the series. I will say it is very informative and educational to improve your chess but don't let the chess destroy you.
