There are scores of fake fossils out there, and they have cast a dark shadow over the whole field. When you go to these fossil shows, it’s difficult to tell which ones are faked and which ones are not. I have heard there is a fake-fossil factory in northeast China, in Liaoning Province, near the deposits where many of these recent alleged feathered dinosaurs were found.”. (quoted in Lee Strobel, The Case For A Creator: A Journalist Investigates Scientific Evidence That Points Toward God, 1029-1030 (Kindle Edition); Grand Rapids, Michigan; Zondervan Publishing) marktabata.wordpress.com So on the one hand, we have a GK member reporting (I don’t know his source) that China is about to present a “vast amount of fossils” to support the theory of evolution, and, on the other hand, we have an ornithologist saying he has heard of a “fake-fossil factory” in northeast China that is (presumably) manufacturing fake fossils. What can we deduce from this? It’s well known that communist governments seek at some point to destroy people’s faith in God because communist governments want people’s allegiance to be only to the state (i.e. communist government.) What better way to undermine people’s faith in the Holy Bible, and, by extension, in God than to declare that a treasure trove of transitional fossils have been discovered that prove the theory of evolution is true? We know how gullible, unscientific and dogmatic scientists are when it comes to the theory of evolution, and I’m sure many would be willing to appear on TV programs to declare the authenticity of these (manufactured) fossils without ever seeing or examining a single one of them. And we know the general public is just as gullible, if not more so. Use the GK member as an example - he’s already accepted the authenticity and legitimacy of these “fossils” in China without reading or seeing a single report on any of them. The Bible warns of a great deception that will so convincing and persuasive that even believers will be fooled. Some Christians have speculated this upcoming deception has to do with extraterrestrials who tell mankind the “truth” about the big questions of life, when the reality will be exactly the opposite. But maybe the great deception has to do with the “discovery” of manufactured fossils that are presented as legitimate transitional forms. It wouldn’t be the first time that happened and it wouldn’t be the first time gullible scientists were completely conned. We certainly can’t count on scientists to tell us the truth when it comes to the theory of evolution - they’re too heavily invested, emotionally and ideologically, in the theory being true. Heck, they think the theory, as a way to explain the complexity of life, is true now, despite a total lack of evidence. Wait ‘til they hear of the “discovery” of hundreds, if not thousands, of manufactured fossils! |
