It begins with the Military Industrial Complex (MIC). The US nation needs a strong military to defend and fight the other offending nations. The US military cost over $ 700 billion a year to maintain it. It is very costly, but we have no other choice. Both GOP and Democrat politicians want MIC in their states because it will provide a lot of jobs and income for the state by producing arms/ammo plus military equipment. To fight an effective war, the military also needs spy agencies and created FBI & CIA. Some presidents don't want spies because spying of US citizens under certain circumstances is unconstitutional and may be against the law. MIC may give some bad advice from their point of view on how to solve the crisis. It happened during Democrat POTUS John F Kennedy administration. Former Soviet Union put nuclear missiles in Cuba which is about 100 miles away from US. It would be very difficult to defend if the USSR launched and attacked the US from Cuba with nuclear weapons. MIC advised President Kennedy who was also CIC to use US military and invade Cuba. It will be a disastrous situation because it can escalate into full blown nuclear war with USSR if Cuba was invaded militarily. Nobody can win in all out nuclear war between the two adversaries. What Kennedy did was remarkable. Instead of military invasion of Cuba, he ordered the US navy to besiege the Cuban island and threaten to use force if the Soviet Union fail to withdraw nuclear weapons from Cuba. USSR capitulated and withdrew her nuclear weapons from Cuba. The crisis ended peacefully. |

Therefore, they want to overhaul and reform it by 3 ways: 1. No immunity for POTUS 2. 18 years term limits for supreme court justices. 3. Will formulate a code of conduct for justices and will enforce them to abide by the rules and discipline them accordingly. To make a reform, the US needs constitutional amendment which has to be proposed and approved first by majority Democrats in the congress, but they don't have that majority now. GOP party has the majority now. Joe Biden is a lame duck and puppet. There is no way he can pass the bill within few months of his remaining presidency before Nov 2024 election. |
