Open Borders
Here is an article about the pain being caused by President Biden's Open Borders policies... despite what LS has to say about it.

Here is another case of misery for migrants brought about by the Biden policy of Open Borders.

Atrio of Venezuelan migrants who crossed into the US illegally endured a harrowing first few days in Texas — sleeping on rainy streets and trying to scrounge up enough money to head elsewhere for work.

Ana Gabriela Garcia, her husband and their travel companion Edgar Rodriguez recounted their first week stateside after admitting they risked it all to jump the border illegally when Title 42 was suddenly extended.

Perhaps
You should define ‘open border,’ because it doesn’t mean what you think it means

Another results of the invitations to cross our borders illegally by Joe Biden.
WHO thinks this is good for America OR the immigrant?

'Open border' is a very misleading claim, probably on purpose?

I fully agree with you, and I think we all agree, that US has a very difficult current problem with large streams of people wanting to immigrate into the country. However, I sincerely think it is a mistake - towards everybody - to 'politicise' this into a left/right controversy, or to quarrel about it here.
The Biden administration stopped the building of a wall, but surely that was an extremely expensive project that would not really achieve much.
The Biden administration also changed some of the principles of handling people into a more humane direction, for example when it came to separating children from their parents.
But otherwise, the basi immigration laws are unchanged as far as I have understood.

Z
Open borders policies allow people to move freely between countries or political jurisdictions with no restrictions. A country's borders may be opened because its government either has no border control laws by choice or because it lacks the resources needed to enforce immigration control laws.

Or, the government chooses to change or ignore border control laws such that it is impossible to stop people, drugs, and other contraband from entering the country anywhere they choose rather than only at an approved immigration port of entry. In this case, the government makes enticements to immigrants so beneficial that they risk rape, violence, death, economic, and physical hardships in order to get into the country.

What is YOUR definition for Open Borders? WHY do you support open borders as it operated at our Southern Border?

I agree. So you mean like going from Denmark to Germany or France to Spain.

Isn’t open, by your own definition.

LOL... WHY are you trying to deny the illegal alien immigration problem?
Please watch the Fox videos below that show the lie you are trying to foist on readers here.

For almost two years Fox is the only news representative at the Southern Border... so watch a few minutes and learn the truth. None of this is good for the country.

How in the world can you support it?

Your link showed almost nothing but pictures where there happens to be border wall. THAT implies that you are trying to create a false image of security at the border. The links I provide have videos and discussion of the TRUE current situation at many places.

Get yourself educated and watch them. They are not more than 10 minutes in total. You can afford that investment in time and attention in order to learn the truth.

btw... open borders: How in the world can you support it?

Open border
You said we have an open border. We don’t, as my pictures clearly demonstrate. Why do you keep lying about open borders?

The first step in solving a problem is correctly identifying it. Mislabeling it will give us solutions to the wrong problem.

Start by accurately defining the problem. Your hyperbole exacerbates and confuses the real problem.

Muddled thinking leads to crappy solutions

Are you complaining that segments of our southern border are not adequately protected? Because this is a very different thing than saying we have an open border.

That's like saying just because there are huge breaches in a dam that the dam isn't breached or open and the water isn't pouring through.

I'm personally no fan of a wall. I've said this many times though ignored by the usual suspects in the pursuit of argument. A better solution is to remove the incentive for people to cross numerous national borders to come here while trying to claim refugee status. That in itself is a violation of international law. Why are those 'refugees' traveling north not settling in Mexico? Because there's more benefits waiting for them in the US.

I suppose, if by benefits, you mean not getting robbed, raped snd murdered.

They’re being pushed by conditions at home, not attracted by food stamps

Z seems to be willing to say anything, twist anything, and ignore common sense no matter what in order to avoid the true issue. The true issue is that we have unsustainable numbers of people crossing into the USA from almost every country in the world... illegally.

Because we stop and deport very few of them while releasing the rest into the interior, I say the border is open. So do most people who want to discuss the truth of the problem. Z wants to argue about the definition of Open Borders. This is so stupid, it defies belief.

The problems with this unsustainable illegal immigration have been discussed many times and presented in a truthful, rational manner. And, yet Z wants to debate the definition of Open Border rather than debate the pros and cons of illegal immigration.

I have asked him twice here in this thread his reasoning about allowing illegal immigration... he'd rather debate definitions and imply the border is secure. I call that stupid and cowardly.

Anyone else care to discuss the issues?

Cloward–Piven

Cloward-Piven is a strategy for forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The strategy was first proposed in 1966 by Columbia University political scientists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven as a plan to bankrupt the welfare system and produce radical change.

Now who want's control and radical change in this country?

Let’s try this.

Define the problem as you see it w/o the hyperbolic and inaccurate silliness about open borders that Fox has been selling you.

Then we can discuss the real problem, not a straw man

Zorro's Portland homeless crisis.

On April 21, 2022 teams of journalists from KGW News set out to chronicle Portland’s response to the homeless crisis over a single day. The documentary “One Day” features 14 unique perspectives on the crisis. Our journalists met people living in tents and RVs, rode along with firefighters, went to outreach events, spent hours in a busy emergency room and more. Together, the stories document how this crisis unfolds on Portland’s streets every single day.
-----------------------------
Softy is correct. The above is an authentic documentary of homeless Americans in major cities. The above link is one of the homelessness in Portland, OR. Zorro should go and investigate first and ponder how we can solve this problem. When there is a will, there is a way. When POTUS Biden came to Portland, he skipped seeing those homeless people. Instead, he is allowing millions of illegals to come into US from southern border so that they will become voters for Democrat party in future elections.

Portland alone has over 5000 homeless people. While illegals are given, cell phones, money, free health care and even stay in luxurious hotels, homeless Americans are struggling to survive. Some of them are hardworking and are earning with monthly wages but they can't afford to rent an expensive apartment. You can see a 60-year-old working woman living in a shelter which she thinks is a kind of palace.
