A permanent epitaph for an old GK friend...His ways of unusual humor, chess insight and discussions of his past OTB play and postal play had a uniqueness only Craig could come up with.I wish I had kept all my old postal chess cards from the past.I would not doubt that I had played him in one of the USCF Golden Knights tourneys in the 1990's,since I had played hundred's of opponents back then all across the country. Hope he is still having a good chess game up there somewhere! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- jkarp 05-Apr-14, 20:35 I feel bad for him, as well, and my condolences also go to him. He was very nice, and back then, when everyone said that I could not improve and I played poorly, worst game on this site, and the second worst in general, in one particular game, he showed a lot of support, in that annotation. I miss him a lot, and @baronderkilt: RIP. shamash 07-May-14, 13:02 C R A I G A wonderful generous giving and good man. And, the story of Craig and his wife lives as one of the best and most inspiring love stories EVER. Theirs is a touchstone by which to measure the best it could possibly be between a man who loves a woman -- and a woman who loves him. TA |
