saguaro 04-Jul-25, 17:10	@cyber-1 The player's profile gives the current rating, the average rating over the past 90 days, the highest rating over the past 90 days, etc. Also the average & highest over 1 year & all time. So I don't understand when you say that there is no official average rating.

saguaro 04-Jul-25, 19:23	For what it's worth: if another captain declines a match with the reason "average rating", I understand that to mean that the 90-day average rating of my player is too high, and I would compare the numbers to verify. And if they were close, I would ask him/her to please explain what they meant so I could avoid being declined in the future.
pmcmurphy 04-Jul-25, 23:33	Average Rating Average ratings are not included in the information that is provided when one hovers the mouse over a player's screen name. Instead, one has to go to the player's profile page. The rating averages are located just below the table that provides percentage of games Won, percentage of games Lost, percentage of games Drawn, average Moves, and the total number of Games for "All games," for "Team games," when "Playing as White," and when "Playing as Black." For instance, when I go to the profile page for pmcmurphy, I am seeing that for the Past 90 days, my "Average chess rating" is 2016. If I click on the "Past year" tab instead, my "Average chess rating" is 2047. If I click on the tab for "All rated games," my "Average chess rating" is 1861. These averages are subject to change as I complete more games, but that is what they are at the moment.
