FORUM GAME
Welcome to UKCC FORUM GAME - Started Monday 13th March 2006

Approved by Rob dreamstomper. With guidelines based on those written by Rasmus samsar on GameKnot Chess Forum. Additions & alterations for UKCC by me, Daniel, deejie - any comments or suggestions please 'private message' me, rather than use this thread.

HOW TO PLAY
The Guidelines:
+++
1. Any member of UKCC can join at any time, but you may only make moves for one side or the other - players must stick with the colour of their first accepted move.
+++
2. The first player to move for each colour automatically becomes the team captain & takes responsibility for offering a draw or resignation. Team captains are also asked to moderate posts & attempt to resolve disputes.
+++
3. A move is posted to the game in this way:
Post the move in the topic, e.g:
3...,d3 (Black)
In the message window, copy & paste the whole game move order (with your new move at the end) along with comments.
+++
4. A player may not make two consecutive moves. Another player must make a move before the last player to post an accepted move can post another one.
+++
5. When more than one player posts for the same move number, the first legal move posted will be the accepted move in the game.
+++
6. Whilst posting a move, players may comment on earlier moves providing they are at least 5 moves in the past. This is just to avoid commentary that could affect the ongoing play or strategy.
+++
7. A game will be considered resigned if no one posts a move within 72 hours for the side whose turn it is.
+++
8. Please avoid negativity or any comments about or any infraction of the guidelines or misunderstanding of them.
+++
9. Have a board set-up to follow the game so 'blind' moves are avoided.
+++
10. Finally, have fun & let's see what happens!
+++

Good luck!

May I remind players...
With regard to note 6 (guidelines) you're allowed to post a comment on the game, with your move, 'providing they are [about moves made] at least 5 moves in the past.'

So - I've just clicked through the first 5 moves & like what I see, from white's perspective; the exd pawn move began a Danish-like advance of the pawn towards our rook. As it stood at 0-0, It looks like a Queen's Gambit Accepted, minus a white d pawn... If I'm right about the similarities, should mean an open game with variety of strategy & a sound & thorough trouncing for black! tee hee

Yes, white has the edge, but we may be able to salvage something from this.
An honourable draw and live to fight another day...perhaps ?
