Fox News announces candidate line-up for Republican prime-time debateFOX NEWS ANNOUNCES the line-up for the prime-time debate this Thursday, and here's who qualified: Real estate magnate Donald Trump; former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush; Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker; former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee; retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson; Texas Sen. Ted Cruz; Florida Sen. Marco Rubio; Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul; New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie; and Ohio Gov. John Kasich. www.foxnews.com |

Who is going to win the debate ? |
||||||||
|
Cruz and Paul have a decided edge. They are filibuster specialists from the Senate.Carson is going to talk plain sense without hurting anyone's feelings and communicate conservatism to millions who have not yet heard his voice. The debate will be highly rated. Huckabee is well-spoken, but like Christie he is Big Government and highly liberal. Bush will not overcome his name nor his RINO pedigree. Rubio is the young man up there, but for my money talks out the side of his mouth too much. Kasich is the unknown. Trump has the most to prove. He's a wonderful executive but has to demonstrate Paul-Ryan-like details. Participary leadership is where he will make his money (if you will). |

SoftyWhy is it you, after not adding anything, find it necessary to lecture others. You say the comments are juvenile, but I made two very salient points, neither of which you responded to. 1) that the candidates will need to cater to the loonies in the primary but moderate their tone in the general. This is well known. 2) that Faux news left several important candidates out. Yes my points were couched in sarcastic and political terms. But you choose to focus on tone in order to avoid addressing issues. Worse, you do so while not even participating in the conversation! |

JeffAt other times, I am reduced to making a quick, snarky reply when motivated by an unusually good post or an unusually stupid, bad post like you and BC have done. Excuse me for that, but I just thought they were so far from "intelligent", I had to speak out for the benefit of the club. Your other posts have passed scrutiny... so you may proceed! |

The GOP side is doing what is theoretically supposed to occur in a U.S. Presidential election while the democrat side is totally devoid of energy and passion and is completely disconnected from the people. It appears the DNC wants zero input from the American people on who should be nominated and democrats don't care anyway, thus enabling the corruption. |

TatShe continues to act in that manner here as well. I suggest you quit trying. You'll only become frustrated as she continues her juvenile tantrums. |

For Example: Bobby FischerI'd rather stay in the bottom half of Gamknot at 1450 than turn senile. Screw that! |
