Fox News announces candidate line-up for Republican prime-time debate
Texas Governor Rick Perry does not make the cut. Neither does former HP head Carly Fiorina.

FOX NEWS ANNOUNCES the line-up for the prime-time debate this Thursday, and here's who qualified:
Real estate magnate Donald Trump;
former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush;
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker;
former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee;
retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson;
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz;
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio;
Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul;
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie;
and Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Who is going to win the debate ?
The political debate is very crucial to win the hearts and minds of voters. Although Donald Trump is the front runner, I am not sure how he will fare in the debate. Ted Cruz is the great orator and I like him to win. Let's wait and see.

Cruz and Paul have a decided edge. They are filibuster specialists from the Senate.
Walker is my fave in the race, a proven leader and executive who beat - count it - TWO RECALL ELECTIONS STAGED BY POLITICAL ENEMIES IN A SWING STATE. Walker, Wisconsin Ranger.

Carson is going to talk plain sense without hurting anyone's feelings and communicate conservatism to millions who have not yet heard his voice. The debate will be highly rated.

Huckabee is well-spoken, but like Christie he is Big Government and highly liberal. Bush will not overcome his name nor his RINO pedigree.

Rubio is the young man up there, but for my money talks out the side of his mouth too much.

Kasich is the unknown.

Trump has the most to prove. He's a wonderful executive but has to demonstrate Paul-Ryan-like details. Participary leadership is where he will make his money (if you will).

Yes. Should be a circus. I am going to enjoy watching them fight for the votes of the wing nut extremists by embracing intolerance and ignorance while still allowing plausible deniability in case they win and need to win over the general electorate.

Well, these last few comments sure make this club look pretty juvenile.
Let's see if we can lower the "intelligent" conversation any further.
Good one... you guys are embarrassing, but a hoot none-the-less.

Why is it you, after not adding anything, find it necessary to lecture others. You say the comments are juvenile, but I made two very salient points, neither of which you responded to.

1) that the candidates will need to cater to the loonies in the primary but moderate their tone in the general. This is well known.

2) that Faux news left several important candidates out.

Yes my points were couched in sarcastic and political terms. But you choose to focus on tone in order to avoid addressing issues. Worse, you do so while not even participating in the conversation!

Jeff
I generally lurk in the background these days. While I can usually find time to read the interesting stuff, I find it harder to make posts as it takes me some time to compose a good one that I can stand behind.

At other times, I am reduced to making a quick, snarky reply when motivated by an unusually good post or an unusually stupid, bad post like you and BC have done.

Excuse me for that, but I just thought they were so far from "intelligent", I had to speak out for the benefit of the club. Your other posts have passed scrutiny... so you may proceed!

What exactly did you find unintelligent?

I would rather
make a stupid,funny post then Propagate Lies and distortions like some 'Zombie' working for foxnews. The Truth is too important. But actually what i wrote is in a sense true.The Candidates (with the possible exception of JB) are a joke. And Completely unqualified to be President.That will become apparent in time. And made manifest in 2016.

Hmmm
Has anyone in the club referred to democratic candidates as cartoon characters?
tat3225
05-Aug-15, 13:20

Fox News used a transparent process to pick 10 candidates. They used 5 different polls and created ten slots. That seems pretty reasonable to me.

The GOP side is doing what is theoretically supposed to occur in a U.S. Presidential election while the democrat side is totally devoid of energy and passion and is completely disconnected from the people. It appears the DNC wants zero input from the American people on who should be nominated and democrats don't care anyway, thus enabling the corruption.

Oh i forgot to mention
Huckleberry hound (mike H). 'Another one' of those Holier then thou Fundamentalists, that masquerade as a 'follower of Jesus', while calling for more War,blood and destruction in the Middle-east. In other words a complete phony. What a line-up!!!!!

But to all the clown enthusiasts out there; Keep up this positive,optimistic outlook. It served you so well in the last cycle. Didn't they predict the outcome? To hell with the polls they said.;youtu.be. And pay no attention to the enormous ground game the Progressives are setting up. Keep pushing 'God Guns and Gays...and Mexicans full screen and loud!youtu.be. Don't waste tax payer money on Jobs!,infrastructure,schools and education,poverty,affordable health care,the Environment, Hating Obama,and Hillary.Please stay in your self contained ignorant Bubble.

Hmmm
i thought we had a truce? guess not.The reason Democratic Candidates are not called clowns is because they are not clowns (DUH). I guess all these scurrilous, false attacks on Clinton, and all Liberals by the 'cons' are all meant as compliments? (DUH). You are so funny 'Mmmm'. Thank you.

Cut the petty bullshit. If you're going to say something concrete like "Clinton has been falsely attacked", you need to explain how or be prepared to have someone challenge it. Instead of responding with petty insults, or a call for a truce because you're taking all of this personally.

The topic was the clown show about to happen. I stated my opinion.And that is what i will do from now on. Debate you? That would be like debating a 4-yrr old girl(?) with a mental impairment!! So throw your 'mindless' vomit all you want. I will not respond to it.But i will state my opinion whenever i choose to. See ya.

I have mentioned before in other threads, that although BC is very intelligent and learned in the sciences and arts, she is NOT mature enough or emotionally stable enough to participate in rational discussions about politics and current events.

She continues to act in that manner here as well. I suggest you quit trying. You'll only become frustrated as she continues her juvenile tantrums.
