... evolution is a slow process ... and it needs thoughtful and balanced proddings from the imaginings of all the "what-ifs" and "why-nots?" that must accompany the journey.

 Improvements
Softaire makes an excellent point. Why redress wrongs, or solve inequities? Why can't we just let the rich enjoy the fruit of other's labors, as is their God given entitlement?
Why seek to improve a country that is already good enough for our beloved wealthy elite? What if the improvements erode the privilege rightfully theirs, by reducing the rate at which their wealth increases and the prosperity gap widens?
Any effort to make life better for nasty poor people should be dismissed as "fascist communism" and unamerican. We ought to have a house committee on unamerican activities, and deny jobs to anyone affiliated with any effort to address income inequality of any form.
Now, if I've misinterpreted this situation somehow then my sincere apologies. I sometimes get accused of exaggerating things that (to me) sound perfectly horrible. Probably because my underwear came out pink in the wash, prompting me to stitch a hammer and sickle emblem into the crotch.

Until, of course, Trump's puce shirts seize power. Or just about any conservative gets elected and seeks to return America to a mythological fantasy dating back to the wonderful cold war era of the 1950s when the US enjoyed segregation and laws prohibiting miscegenation and other nasty mixing of the pure breds with the mongrel races.
Funny thing that. Those groups with Neandertal and Denisovan DNA tucked away in their chromosomes could well be considered "mongrel" hybrids, whereas the pure breds would be any ancestral African races absent such profligate mixing.
ALL our ancestors ultimately hail from a region of Africa not all that far from the rift valley. Cradle of humanity. I just think that is so hilarious, whenever my mind drifts to Confederate Flag waving neonazi idiots.

Slavery and Racism is a kind of Facism.
Can we draw conclusion that slavery and racism, when US had it before was a kind of
fascism. The analogy to Hitler's Nazi Germany- Fascism and slavery in US is similar. Not only Jews but also other races in Europe except Aryan race were discriminated. Nazis wanted them to serve as slaves for them or killed them. Helpless Africans were rounded up, chained and brought in unsanitary conditions in ships to America. Many died on the way. Obsteve's, English slave traders are perpetrators of the worst heinous crime against humanity. White Americans continued slavery, although they knew it was against their Christian moral values which was clearly stated in the "Declaration of Independence" that " All men are created equal." Nazis and Americans had to pay the price or punishment of their heinous crimes against humanity. That is, 600,000 Americans died in American civil war and slavery was abolished by Lincoln. Millions of people including Germans died in second world war. Don't forget the role of Fascist Japan. US nuked them and ended the second world war. Without Fascism, Germany and Japan are much tamed.
