Watergate versus Obamagate
en.wikipedia.org
I believe Trump haters in this club are prejudiced. It is clear for me that in this Obamagate, Trump is the victim and Obama is the mastermind and perpetrator of the crime.

Why Trump calls it Obamagate ? He is referring to Nixon's Watergate scandal. 5 burglars from GOP party, burglarized the DNC headquarters to steal political secret of the opponent party to use it as a weapon in next election for political gain. That is, GOPs law makers in both Houses and Presidency would become the majority party. All burglars were caught.

There is no question that GOP party committed the crime. Nixon denied that he knew nothing about the crime but a portion of deleted White House tape showed he was aware of it and tried to cover up the criminal activity. At that time both parties could not tolerate such a criminal activity of spying on the other party and vice versa.

Both parties were planning to impeach and remove him from office. Not only Nixon might be removed from office but he could be sent to prison if he was convicted of his crime. Nixon had no choice but to resign. He was pardoned by his successor Gerald Ford.

Compared to Nixon's Watergate crime of spying on other party, in Obamagate, Obama did the same crime of spying on Trump's cabinet members and their political activities. He created a Deep State just before he left office to continue spying on Trump so that his victim could be removed from office.

Recent unmasking of Flynn's transcripts clearly revealed all their criminal activities. Not only Obama but also his high level officers, DOJ and intelligence agencies colluded with him and committed a great scandal and crime much greater than Watergate scandal which is pale in comparison compared to Obamagate. This is the name of the game. Obamagate should be fully investigated and the criminals involved should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Obamagate?
Here is a lovely little video I think most of you will enjoy, along the lines of Fiddler on the Roof.

<<I believe Trump haters in this club are prejudiced.>>

Prejudice is the act of prejudging someone based on characteristics they innately have. Not sure how that applies to Trump unless you want to diagnose him with a personality disorder (and hey I wouldn't argue!).

Think you meant biased, and that's probably fair. I admit I am biased against believing people who are proven liars. Perhaps that's something I need to work on. Give liars a chance.

Prejudice
My experience has shown that liars are going to lie. And liars like Trump have nothing but incentive to lie--even when those lies serve no overtly obvious purpose.

Quote:
In his "Access Hollywood" promotional tour with entertainment correspondent Billy Bush, Mr. Trump kept telling audiences that he had the No. 1 show on television. Finally, Mr. Bush corrected him, noting that "The Apprentice" was never close to No. 1 in any category or in any demographic. Mr. Trump responded: "Billy, look, look, you just tell them and they believe it. They just do." And, of course, the more it’s repeated, the stronger the belief.

www.nny360.com

Sometimes Trump's lies are absurdly obvious, and sometimes you don't know. More than once he has caught me off guard, telling an outright lie that I accepted simply because I did not know better. When I later learned the truth, I came to realize that it is best to assume anything Trump says is first and foremost false--that the exact opposite is true. This helps guard against being taken in by his deceit.

Had Donald told the truth? I have caught him on occasion saying something that was NOT false. Usually by accident, when inadvertently implicating himself in criminal activity. So you have to be very careful--because once in a great while you will catch him telling the truth.

Obamagate
What is Obamagate? It turns out it is when Trump fired DNI Flynn for lying to VP Pence about his conversations with Russians (prior to Trump's inauguration) regarding the easing of sanctions in exchange for campaign assistance.

How did we know Flynn was talking to the Russians? Because we listen in on all their conversations. We pretty much listen to everyone's phone conversation. Obama got in a bit of trouble when it was discovered we had tapped the phones of the prime minster of the United Kingdom.

Well I hope no one is too shocked by this--we have been listening in on phone conversations since at least WWII. Whoever you are. President Bush made the program overt, explaining that if you are talking to the Russians, we want to know what you are saying. Obama never cancelled this program, and neither has Trump. He really couldn't if he wanted to--we now have an act of congress (the ineptly named "Patriot" Act) which requires we listen to all phone conversations between any foreigner and anyone (foreign or not) in the US.

We also listen to pretty much everything else too. Obama said that we were collecting "metadata," that no one was actually listening to the phone conversations. That is a shadow of truth. If we lack confidence we have accurately automatically transcribed your conversation, we listen in. We have interpreters determine what you are talking about. We have keyword searches on ALL phone conversations, domestic and foreign, and you trigger oversight by hitting keys. So those conversations are ALSO analyzed.

I wasn't going to go off on a long spiel about phone conversations, I was just going to limit this to Obamagate.

So how did Flynn come under FBI surveillance? EVERYONE who makes a phone call out of the country is essentially recorded, and conversations with foreign agents are transcribed. Many of these conversations are innocuous, but many are not. If you are talking about lifting sanctions with the Ambassador to Russia, your phone conversation is going to get kicked upstairs. Unless you are part of Trump's administration--in which case the conversation may get moved to a code word national security server.

Flynn's conversation did not have his name. It had Syslyak and US PERSON #1. (There wasn't a #2, but in conference calls or when the phone is passed to someone else, there could be).

To establish context for this phone conversation Attorney General Sally Yates (among others) requested the name of whoever was US PERSON #1 be "unmasked." This is very common. Anyone with appropriate security clearance (not Jared or Ivanka, and quite a few others in Trump's administration have had trouble passing background checks) can request a name be unmasked. That doesn't mean revealed to the public, it just means so they will know who it is.

Boy were they surprised to learn it was our soon-to-be Director of National Security. Pence told us Flynn denied talking to the Russians, but this was flat out false, and eventually Trump was boxed into a corner where he could not keep this compromised general in that position.

In a meeting between Obama and others, they discussed what ought to be done about the Russian interference. Obama said to let the Department of Justice deal with it "by the book."

This is the statement recorded in notes of that meeting. "By the book." Obama refused to make any investigations public or do anything else to undermine the integrity of the election. Trump, of course, never abided by any such any such protocol. He had, in fact, insisted he would REJECT any election outcome that did not stipulate he won.

For this reason Attorney General William Barr has refused to launch any investigation into Obama or Biden over the Russian election interference, despite Trump's protestation the Department of Justice should serve as a cudgel for his political whims, prosecuting adversaries and dismissing charges against friends, allies, and family members.

So that, in a nutshell, is "Obamagate."

By the book.

Well said,

They seem to hyper focus on the man and not the behavior. IMHO they are hard at work to normalize his style of behavior. Such as ... The truth is what I say it is, when I say it is and I can change my mind on what it is at any time.

I can see no other purpose that Ace of Ace's has. He is hear to sow seeds, he just cast's them. He isn't interested in debate, or truth. Who knows he may be writing a thesis on how long it takes to get someone to believe something that isn't true or how much doubt can be sown.

But that of course is supposition.

Also it is interesting to me is (by his own admission) sees himself as a sheep amongst wolves. He quoted that verse with no desire to understand what it means.
Why he wants to play the victim is beyond me. I'm sure that a member of the KKK who was trying to spread or speak thier ideology at an African American church, in front of thier congregation. Would probably describe themselves in the same way. A sheep amongst wolves.

Like the man who killed two police officers and was sentenced to death, at his execution he was asked for some last words. He said "This is what I get for defending myself"

My point being... In America we have an epidemic of selfishness, self-centered me me me

And it is poison

Will Trump pardon Obama for his Obamagate ?
youtu.be
In comparison, Nixon's Watergate is very pale and anemic to Obamagate. Obama created the greatest scandal in American history with the collusion of his executive branch, DOJ, law enforcement and spy agencies. Obama tried to perfect his Obamagate using the Watergate model but crime does not pay. He cannot hide his bad S anymore. It is gradually exposing all the world to see.

White House press secretary believes Obama's crimes and their collaborators will be exposed and caught soon. She raised several questions to reporters at her WH press conference to answer. It is an open secret now that Obama appears to be a criminal like Nixon who was pardoned by his successor VP Ford who became POTUS after Nixon's resignation. We can understand that since Ford was from his same party and VP, he would pardon Nixon but I am not sure if Obama is found guilty, will Trump pardon him ?
----------------------------------------------

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany admonished the press corps on Friday for refusing to promote unproven theories suggesting Barack Obama and other administration officials sought to undermine Donald Trump‘s campaign and election with the “unmasking” of the president’s former aide.

Chanel Rion with One America News, which the president has praised for its flattering coverage, asked whether Mr Trump was “considering pardoning” his predecessor, who hasn’t been convicted of any crime, for “illegally wiretapping” and “illegally spying on citizens” among “other potential crimes” as part of the president’s “Obamagate“ conspiracy, in which former Obama officials are accused of entrapping former national security adviser Michael Flynn as part of a “deep state” sting against his administration.

The question appeared to be an assist for the press secretary to read from prepared remarks and show several virtual slides with prepared “questions” for reporters to ask Mr Obama

False accusation of Trump by DS based on phony Russian dossier.
www.msn.com

The prosecutor, U.S. Attorney John Durham, will rightly point out that the document that spawned three years of political misery fails to articulate a single justifiable reason for starting the "Crossfire Hurricane" investigation.

Those of us who have speculated there was insufficient cause for beginning the investigation could not have imagined the actual opening document was this feeble. It is as if it were written by someone who had no experience as an FBI agent.
Keep in mind the FBI cannot begin to investigate anyone, especially a U.S. citizen or entity, without first creating a document that lists the reasonably suspicious factors that would legally justify the investigation. That's FBI 101, taught Day 1 at the FBI Academy at Quantico, Va.
To the untrained eye, the FBI document that launched Crossfire Hurricane can be confusing, and it may be difficult to discern how it might be inadequate. To the trained eye, however, it is a train wreck. There are a number of reasons why it is so bad. Two main ones are offered below (if you would like to follow along, the document is here):

Crossfire Hurricane
How about practically every member of Groper's campaign staff lying about their contacts with Russia? Paul Manafort, Groper's campaign CHAIRMAN, gave Russian agents polling data.

www.newyorker.com

Why would he do that?

Then, Groper concocted a false story concerning adoptions to conceal the true purpose behind the clandestine meeting with Russian agents at the Trump Tower. Can you say "guilty conscience?"

There was TONS of reasons the FBI would be curious about why Groper was colluding with Russia to subvert US elections, including the coordination of the Wikileak stolen DNC email release.

Ace is quoting a puff opinion piece, uninformed and actually abhorrent of the most basic, salient facts.

Who is inside the Deep State ?
This is Zorro's question. Please review the messages in this thread and then I will try to explain if you have any questions. I can't repeat the whole thing again.

The DS started when HRC lost the 2016 presidential election. Democrats believe she was the rightful winner but Trump stole it from them.
