We also tweaked the wording of the first verse of 'Advance Australia Fair' about a year ago. And there are many who demand that we sing the second verse as well as the first, while others want the second verse to be consigned to Hell. In case your wondering, the second verse was written at a time when the common perception was that we were underpopulated and vulnerable to the 'Yellow Peril' to our north. We craved more Anglo-Irish migrants, and that second verse starts "For those who come across the seas, we've endless plains to share." It's not so popular now, when Asians are coming! According to you, these immigrants are all put into cages. 3. "from all over the world." Do you have any statistics on where these people are from? If you do, it means that the door isn't open but subject to procedures. If you don't then on basis do you make that claim? For example, how many are from North Korea, or Uzbekistan? 4. Biden and the Democrats do not want to enforce the border. The President acts like he has nothing to do with the border crisis. During the primaries he told illegals to surge the border, that we would welcome millions and give them free health insurance. Biden promised asylum, amnesty and free healthcare, stopped the wall construction, froze deportation, decapped ICE, invited under aged migrants to apply for asylum on our soil, and terminated the remaining Mexico policy that Trump cut. Now that we're being overrunned, Biden says, "Don't come." Nobody is buying that. And The White House is calling this a "migration challenge"!! Challenge for some and crisis for so many others!! The EXPLOSIVE nature of the crisis happening at the border is more than just a HUMANITARIAN DISASTER for those who have come, to say nothing of the citizens whose communities have been impacted. This is all happening as you know, IN THE MIDST OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC and that makes this a MASSIVE HEALTH CRISIS as well!! That is a MAJOR CONCERN because this disease obviously could spread among those who are currently in those particular facilities and that will spike cases around the country where the migrants are ultimately released.
