If you send me a challenge with that opening, I will respond with d5 like I already posted in this thread. Then the game will continue from there. We already started a game. You opened with queens gambit, as shown in the first post that you have since deleted. And I responded with d5. As shown in my post. You sent me a game challenge with me playing as white after I posted my move (as black) in this thread.

tat3225 05-Aug-15, 22:32	Alex Yes, I assumed I was black because she opened. I said in the other thread that I would not play an unrated game against her. I agreed to play when I saw this thread. I had already declined her original challenge that included the opening in the OP of this thread, when I initially saw this thread and responded here that I would play. I thought we could actually play in the thread. This is why I asked how to do so, then eventually just dictated my move. Without asking her to resend the challenge. The OP in this thread was indeed the opening she originally challenged. Instead of just re sending me the same opening, BC sent a challenge giving me white. I received this challenge after I had posted my d5 move. I don't expect to beat her, but I'm not going to play a dishonest game or get jerked around. As far as I'm concerned, I have the disadvantage playing black with her opening. I have to put effort into the next 3 moves. But keeping with the game we already started is the honest thing to do, in my opinion. Which matters more to me than my winning.

I also would not have challenged you to an unrated game if I was in your shoes. Or titled the thread "consultation game". Gameknot scoring is set up to be honest. That's why a detailed record of wins and losses is kept including time-outs. If you play me and win, your score doesn't increase because yours is already so much higher than mine. If I beat you, your score drops noticeably. Therefore by not challenging me to a rated game, you're saying that you might lose. Because you're the only one who has anything to lose. I didn't ask to play you. You challenged me. Therefore you have zero integrity for challenging me to an unrated game. I don't like you. I don't trust you. And I think you're a waste of my time. But I told you I would play and I don't bail on commitments or change the terms.
