music with class
Is it possible for a person like me who's been brought up with to-days music to learn and appreciate classical music? And if so.how do I go about it

...consider how one appreciates virtually any kind of music. While some is due to our upbringing perhaps, much has to do with what makes us comfortable, or what stimulates us, or what makes us think more deeply ...as we become more "involved" with the music itself. Consider understanding basic things about music ...like melody, rhythm, dissonance and consonance, like the differences between major and minor, like how counterpoint impacts melodies, like percussion, tones, and on and on. The more one grasps the variety of what one hears, we gain a sense of "friendship" with sound that's very personal and our own to keep and savor. Then talk about it with someone we trust. After all that, just listen and let your body respond as it will.
