migchess20 25-Sep-06, 12:01	El Arte en Centro America Hola Amigos: En Centro America hay Arte, lo observamos a traves de la musica, hay muchos jovenes que han logrado destacarse, tambien en el campo de la Pintura, hay talentos que tambien se han destacado, lo ideal seria que hubiera por ejemplo una pagina web donde se mencionaran los diferentes artistas en cada una de las especialidades, por ejemplo en la Universidad de El Salvador, hay una Escuela de Artes, donde pueden alcanzar una Licenciatura. En el campo de la Arquitectura, tambien se encuentra el arte, En los festivales de Poesia que se hacen al menos una vez cada año, surgen muchos talentos. Hay quienes se han destacado algunos pintores de manera autodidacta. Hay grupos de teatro, Esta tambien la Orquesta Sinfonica de El Salvador. En nuestro pais una empresa se dedica a Promocionar los festivales Palmares de Pintura, lo hacen cada año. Si hubiera espacio en este Club les podria mandar fotos de Pinturas de nuestro pais. Tengo un hermano que es pintor autodidacta, Lo mismo podria hablarse de los demas paises de Centro America: Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica y Panama. Muchos Saludos. migchess20

Specially in the Univeristy from El Salvador and the Art School. Architecture is very competitive, and the field of Poetry has a festival that is established once a year. There is good Theatre, and El Salvador Symphonic is very popular. There are Promoters that sponsor and help young people with painting.Migchess20 would love to show some of the photos of these beautiful paintings.His brother is a painter too, and the rest of the Central America countries are very serious with the arts: Guatemala,Costa Rica,Honduras,Nicaragua and Panama.

But we mention his name under this post, because he lived his last years in El Salvador (1939-1944). He died in San Salvador in 1944, and he his influence was inmense not only in El Salvador, but also his others journeys to other countries such as Uruguay. " Cathedral" and " Una Limosna por el amor de Dios" are one of his great compositions.

It’s not so big... if I remember correctly slightly smaller than human size, as are most santos en las iglesias. Was your grandmother Guatemalteca? There are black Christs throughout Centroamérica and I think in America Sur as well.
rilke 30-Aug-20, 12:55	My Grandmother was from El Salvador. And if I am correct the distance was not a long road trip. I just google it said 209.1 kilometers from El Salvador to Esquipulas 3 hours and 37 minutes.
