![]() future dealings with international affairs!! I think it is GREAT!! THE PLAN ---------------------------------------- "I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan." 1) "The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those 'good ole boys', we will never "interfere" again. 2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea, the Middle East, and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence. 3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They're illegal!!! France will welcome them. 4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers. 5) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby. 6) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while. 7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.) 8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them are stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything. 9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens. 10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH...learn it..or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan? "The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'you want a piece of me?' " |

![]() All our western economies are balanced on a knife edge, it only takes a nudge to plunge us into a depression. A depression today would not be like the 1930's, there would be civil unrest on a massive scale, maybe even civil war. We all need each other, not necessarily on the battlefield...I am sure the USA could manage quite well without us. But world trade...it seems you have to keep running just to stand still. |

![]() You and I both know what you said is true but your ungrateful counterparts in the EU may not. What is happening today in France gives me pause to chuckle. |

![]() The old Soviet Union should have been pretty much self-sufficient, they had all the natural resources you could name, plus valuable minerals, timber etc...economics is definitely not my subject, I just dont understand how these things work. |

![]() seperate from Europe. Even though I sometimes hear of sarcasm and bad comments about the US coming from the UK it is just not the same as coming from France or Germany for instance. Don't know why!! What you said about Russia is true. It is also true about France, Germany and the rest. To answer your question concerning Russia. In my mind it is the same for most of the other countries in Europe but maybe to a lesser extent. In a word, CORRUPTION in government. It has now becoming clearer by the day that France and Russia had it's hand in Saddam's pocket. Your guy George [whats his name] also did. I hope you guys take care of him. France, Germany & Russia were profiting from Saddam being in power hence their outcry against the US. It does not sound so loud anymore. Clinton should have invaded Iraq when Saddam went against everything that ended Gulf War 1. Clinton and the world turned a blind eye. Now we know why. Clinton did not have the testicles and Europe was making $$$$. One thing about Bush. He is one of the few American Presidents in modern history that kept his word. He actually did what he said he would do. What a novel idea!! I know a lot of mistakes were made but with the help of our European allies [remember the UK is not European ] and our own media. If Iraq does indeed get on it's own 2 feet I am sure the mid-East will be a better place, in time. I am also sure that the Europeans will take at least part of the laurels for a success in Iraq. What is happening today in France will ultimately spread throughout Europe. The economy of the EU is falling apart in no small part to all the social programs it is trying to fund and it's embracing of a immigrant population that they are ill prepared to deal with. I would also add that the immigrant population of the EU will eventually consume Europe because those immigrants are not going there for a better life but to establish a new Arab/Muslim state in France, Germany and wherever else they land. Or so it seems!! |

![]() I cant agree with everything in your last post...I think there were many countries with their snouts in Sadam's trough..Britain and the USA included. I certainly agree with the last two paragraphs though. |

![]() I mean that many of the US policies have not had 100% support from the UK but then again they do not have support here in our own country. I agree that the US and UK people [certain people]had their hands in Saddam's pockets but the BIG difference is that I do not think these people were high up in governement. I may be wrong but I do not think so. I do not think that our high government officials were taking bribes but it is being shown that maybe Chirac himself was taking bribes as well as Annan in the UN and possibly people high up in Schroeder's govt and in Putin's as well. When it is shown to me that Bush or cheney were in on the bribery I will change my opinion. I do not think that Tony Blair was tainted either. To me that is the big difference. |
