theloneranger 10-Jan-08, 11:38	Seems I was wrong again There actually seems to be much interest in leaving this club open...........however I wish those who expressed an interst in leaving it open would venture forth and post more often, and in some cases just post at all............ This is a great alternative to some other clubs................all opinions are welcome.......but what I am trying to avoid is endless loops of diatribe that lead no where...............in other words if you disagree with someone......state it and move on........if you do not like a topic, then go to a topic you like, or start one of your own.............fairly simple. But, please do not create a argument just for the sake of attempting to get someone to blow off......and then hijacking a topic....I am calling the kettle black here......if you see me doing this......please call me on it. Let's have a productive time of it The Club stays open at least for now..............I would like to look back 5 years from now and see it being the leading club on the site.....it has potential now to be just that.

A club founder who frequently resorts to calling posters freaks and potheads and who frequently deletes his own posts and the posts of others without clear reason or consultation is probably never going to provide a good foundation for lively and open debate. I cant see much point in a club of this nature where debate is requested but only from posters who agree with the position of the founder. I think you should go with your original plan and close the club. Where ARE all these alleged posts requesting that you keep the club open? Just curious. You make a point of telling us what a fine fellow you are 'in the real world" but engage in frequent histrionics in the clubs. From here the message is clear.....you're better off spending time where you can show your positive traits. My thoughts anyways, since you asked.
theloneranger 10-Jan-08, 11:59	markallen I stated fairly clearly where the request where............mostly private messages..........why they choose to contact me directly is their business.......a couple do not even belong to any clubs.....they just like to read them........... your response is predictable and welcomed at the same time.......I deserve some chop busting...........I do not care if someone disagrees......it's when someone wants to beat a dead horse and prevent a thread from moving on that frustrates me.......... And where did I stop anyone from disagreeing with me.............? If I deleted my own post it was because I felt that it was unproductive or in poor judgement, and or just not a very good post. Sometimes I go reread what I wrote and decided that I probably should not have said anything at all at that point...........sometimes I do this ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, post it and delete it just to let you know I am there..............my right to do so. I have sent you a private message and asked if you would like to be a moderator.....I ask for several reasons........ Mainly I think you are very active here and it would be good balance for the record I asked no one to leave...........I just refused to continue running around in circles. any other questions you want to ask me? feel free............
theloneranger 10-Jan-08, 12:14	btw What do you call someone who smokes pot? just curious you must have another name for it where you come from.......but here in the USA we call people who smoke it "potheads", most think a compilment, but they are usually the ones who are smoking it, most who are under the influence of 'pot' think the think clearly, but rarely do........that's why we have drug recovery clinics all over the country...........another term for people who like unusal behaviors and subscribe to sick behavior , such as sex with childern, are normally called freaks.......usually they are the only ones offended when you call them out for what they are. You do not seem to have a problem calling me ignorant and or any of the other things you have said to me................ You had your chance to hold the delete button and to help keep me in check......you passed it up. I assume you did that so you can make yourself out to be a victim.

We have been remodeling our home so that has been keeping me busy. But also like you I can see the headaches here and that is some thing I am not willing to deal with for I do have my own. I know that this is a very successful club it shows. I can not really give an excuses for keeping this going for it is you that has to decide. I know if you search your heart and pray you will come up with the answer. What Riot ?...6.16 posts Fair and Balanced...6.14 posts Great British CC...3.26 posts 1st Amendment...2.01 posts Spare a thought for the International Friends..currently running at only 0.15 posts per member. Too bad,this club has promise. I've been very busy the last several months and haven't been able to post much. I do prefer more tolerance than the socialist cross over posters here show. That's one reason prompting me to leave 1A. The diatribe gets old. Very predictable. I also noticed something as I have gone back and reread some threads......you have been an antagonist from the day you first joined this club................
captaingoodvibes 10-Jan-08, 12:28	tlr you assume wrong (assumptions can be dangerous things). i refused your offer to make me a mod because, if i were to take up the role, I'd need to be clear about the integrity of the leadership and the framework within which i was expected to moderate. Your thread and post deleting behaviors and overall approach to club leadership are not something that i could align myself with. I'll not defend my own behaviour. At time my judgement may of course be less than perfect.....but unlike with your posts, I delete my posts infrequently and almost always with a subsequent explanation. If folks wish to audit for themselves the posts are there. It's clearly a different approach to yours. People can judge for themselves what they feel most comfortable with.

I have offered several explanations as to why I deleted certain post.......try reading all the info...........as for the post I deleted in the complaint thread once again they where offensive to me and where borderline to the club rules.......so deleted......move on now to something else if you do not mind......I seem you pulled the same garbage in another club several months back. You have a problem then LEAVE......and I maintain that you are doing exactly what you say you are not doing .....antagonizing......you have admitted doing that before.

What a laden term. I'm sorry that you see things that way but not unduly surprised. My intention has been to explore contentious issues and to explore inconsistencies where they emerge. Through your eyes it seems that I've failed in that goal. Overall, I've moved to a decision that it's best if i withdraw from your club so that you can run it within the parameters that you see fit.
