(52) *2 qualify from the groups of 5, 3 qualify from the group of 7, PLUS six further players from any of the groups (up to a maximum of one from each), based on the highest scores achieved (and further criteria as applied in previous tournaments if necessary) also qualify fro the second round. => 28 proceed. *2nd Round: 4x groups of 7 *2 qualify from each to the Quarter Finals. *4x head-to-head matches with 3rd-game tie-break if required (toss of coin for colour) *2x head-to-head matches with 3rd-game tie-break if required (toss of coin for colour) *Losers play head-to-head to determine 3rd place (with 3rd-game tie-break if required (toss of coin for colour)) *Winners play head-to-head FINAL, with a minimum of 4 games (2 each as white). If a 5th-game tie-break is required a coin-toss will determine colour. Draw for first-round groups will now take place.
