Hippo blitzing in Moscow last year
This post is kind of a rip-off of something I read on Unorthodox Chess Openings Yahoo! Group. But it's interesting stuff. 5 games with the Hippo set-up played by Gata Kamsky in the World Blitz Cup that took place in Moscow last year. In one of the games he was White. He didn't lose any of those games and had one draw.

I was aware of that tournament, even played through some games, but didn't come across those Kamsky's games back then (at least I don't remember). I'm surprised with the fact that I completely forgot about this opening in the Unorthodox Bishops team matches, seeing how we discussed it last year. Something that also surprises me is that I've been playing blitz games lately and never occurred to me giving the Hippo a try, even though I'm definitely playing unusual stuff on ICC. I'll try not to forget next time.

Well, here are the games, enjoy!

Just shows you how good the hippo is then dunnit?
4.5 / 5 with the hippo. How mnay openings do supergrandmasters get that score with, especially when 4 of them are with Black?
