What is old is new now
Anybody notice the new feature when making moves? When did conditional moves become a new feature. I don't use conditional moves at all so I don't know if they made changes to it and thats why its new.

Sort of like what they did with games database. Then claim the games database was new.

They should have a improved logo for those suitations and new for features that are really new to gameknot.

If your in the USA hoped you enjoyed the holiday weekend and the fireworks

I don't see what is new with it? I use conditional moves now and then and I just used it yesterday.
Nothing from my opponent yet.

Improved
Yes, Mike, they made changes to it: in the old version, you had to click a Submit button for every half-move before saving the conditional moves. Now you just make the moves in the Analyze Board and save when you're done. It's a lot faster now! The regular conditional movers out there must be rejoicing. =P

I use conditional moves sometimes, when my opponent's move is forced, and I rarely set more than one. So, the improvement won't change my life. But it can be useful in certain situations. Yesterday I started to play a two-game match with the "Frankenstein-Dracula Variation" of the Vienna Game (that variation deserves a thread here, btw). My opponent and I had already discussed that the line (10 moves long) would be set up as conditional moves, which was easy to do with the new improvement. Useful for club games with long lines, too. =)

General forum posting
There is a general forum posting about it here

I do like the suggestion of conditional moves that are triggered regardless of the move your opponent makes. Sort of like a wildcard conditional move. For those times when your pushing a pawn up the board like the poster said.

Here is one that will really move the games along at the beginning. You just tell GK what opening you want to play and if your opponent stays within that opening then GK makes the moves for you. Even better if your opponent chooses the same opening as you. Nothing more tedious than waiting seven days for the expected move in a opening.

Here's a question:
Has anybody tried making two different conditional moves for the same opponents move?

Just updates the first one
To answer your question owenss1: I have tried and GK will allow it   Not sure how GK would handle that when it came time to implement the conditional move. My gues would be that it looks at the list from top to down and implements the first conditional move that works. But I'm just guessing here.

Look at the forum post link I provided to see some weird ones that other members entered.

Anybody notice that green dot that appears after you set a conditional move? Thats a nice touch to know that conditional moves are active for that game
