 FelicitacionesLa idea es felicitaros en estos días, pero como no voy a escribir el tópico de "Féliz Navidad y próspero año nuevo", pues daros por felicitados como más os guste. Aprovecho el hecho de que por aquí hay gente de muchos idiomas distintos para pediros a cada uno que nos escribáis el tópico usado en vuestra lengua. Y a algún xxx - escribiente que traduzca este mensaje al idioma xxx para que lo entienda el mayor número posible de nosotros. RE Felicitaciones Below I’ve tried to translate your post. Please forgive me if I’ve lost its proper sense because my Spanish is not very good. Maybe someone could correct it for me? Here in Dublin we usually wish each other “A happy Christmas and a happy new year”. We used to mention prosperous with regard to the New Year but from my experience that expression is dying out. Parlante - escribiente Recuerdo que en el foro se estuvo hablando hace tiempo sobre los hispano parlantes, etc. En castellano utilizamos: Castellano parlante: que habla castellano. Castellano escribiente: que escribe en castellano. El término escribiente es un término antiguo que se utiliza muy poco, salvo en expresiones hechas, como en este caso, y no admite traducción literal al inglés. O lo que es peor, puede traducirse mal, porque en castellano, "escribiente" era el empleado de una oficina que escribía, y, por ejemplo, en el diccionario Collins (¿hay otro mejor?) traduce escribiente = clerk, pero si se traduce clerk al castellano la traducción no es escribiente, sino empleado, dependiente, etc. Por otro lado ya tenemos dos maneras de felicitar estas fiestas. Os añado una tercera, en catalán: "Feliç Nadal i bon any nou" Un saludo navideño a tod@s. J. |
