organizing local chess club i have posted some flyers to see if i can find a half dozen recreational players in my town to start a friday night chess club. if i don't get any replies in order to get 6 to 8 people i think i will have to drive 40 minutes and pay to join a commercial club. i want to have a place to play some weekly otb chess. the commercial club has very good players and while i don't mind losing it is still a little downheartening to lose so badly and quickly all night. i am hoping my local club of woodpushers would be more fun.
