deletions and banning
have you had to delete a post or a thread? or ban someone from your club?

Deletions
As a moderator, so far the only posts I have deleted are those that are very out-of-date, completely inactive and forgotten. I am pleased to say that there are very few of those in either of my Club forums.

In Club Captain I posted a policy about deletions because one of the moderators deleted a post and caused hard feelings. Basically my feeling is that a post should not be deleted by anyone other than the person who created it unless it is against gameknot policy and the originator will not delete it. Otherwise it is censorship.

deletions
I agree with Linda - deletions should be a last resort, whether of a post or a thread.

I have in other clubs. All I can say is WOW some post got way out of hand and GK would of had a heard of COWS on some of them. But it seems that those days are over is the 1st amendment club still running? I am sure that they still get alot of the WOW posts.

I'll let Jeff answer that for the club but from my perspective, I say the club is still running (with a lot of posts) and no "WOW" posts. Occasionally there is a "you hurt my feelings" post.

well
it seems pretty tame now. in the past, there were some crazy posts and threads. a few times
a number of posts in a thread got deleted, and a few times whole threads. but it is rare,
especially now. i expect eventually, things will heat up again.

I have recently deleted old posts with little relevance to the club and without replies. I did this at the suggestion of one of the club's moderators as a method of housekeeping, but generally, I do not delete the posts of others.

Still remains
I still have the very first post since the birth of the club. So at the moment I have never deleted anything. In some occasions I would look for those old posts, and try place them again in activity.

Unfortunately I have been in the sad position to ban a few people from the club, due to offensive remarks on other people's opinion. Usually I get together with moderators to discuss the matter, before a a final decision is made. But this this type of situations does not come often. That is the good part.

Banning
Fortunately, I have not been forced to ban anyone from the Knights of Honor Club.
