Development Stategies
Development is WAR!!!
What is more.. it is as much your war as it is ours/mine.We live in a global village and it is not the time, or the place, to act like a village fool. What do you need more than London to burn(like it did a short while ago) and now Greece`s problems about to spark another world-wide recession.
The fundamental reasons why London burned is exactly why South African disenfranchised people are taking to the streets and burning councillors homes and children.
Hope differed makes the heart sick. When the heart is tired of the illusions and false promises of equity the reptile part of our minds embark on destruction and crime...fueled by the mob mentality and madness.
I posted the SA scenario as a gateway and case study to begin the search for the "how " to sustainable development.Hoping that out there are people with pro-active strategies and methodologies that can be implemented speedily and cost-effective to address the Global crisis and hopefully also in my beloved country as well.
Let us table our resources( of which the mind and the soul is the most precious ) to collectively share the matrix of successful deliverables already achieved elsewhere.
Our world is holistic. If the dam in my village bursts your village will certainly be flooded and destroyed. On the other hand if my crop is flourishing I can by your cattle(...and maybe pay la-bola to marry your daughter also..haha).
Looking forward to when the wise and the willing speak.

Moving Jobes like Pawns to stay in government
The current economic downturn has been called a housing crisis, a financial crisis and a debt crisis, but the simplifying logic of the political season has settled on what is really more a result than a cause. We are now, according to nearly everyone running for office, in a jobs crisis. Every politician currently has a “jobs plan,” very often a list of vague proposals filled with serious-sounding phrases like “budget framework” and “regulatory cap” that are designed, for the most part, to mean both everything and nothing at all.

Starting this week, I’ll be writing a regular column in the magazine that tries to demystify complicated economic issues — like whether anyone (C.E.O.’s, politicians, people running for the presidency) can actually create jobs. The fact is that creating them in a far-too-sluggish economy is practically impossible in our current capitalist democracy. No corporate leader is rewarded for hiring people who aren’t absolutely required. Most companies hire only when its workforce can no longer keep up with the demand for its products.

Even with all the attention on hiring, the government’s ability to create jobs is pretty dispiriting, no matter who is in charge. The most popular types of jobs programs involve state tax breaks or subsidies that seek to seduce a company from one state to another. While this can mean good news for “business-friendly” states like Texas, such policies don’t add to overall employment so much as they just shuffle jobs around. This helps explain Rick Perry’s claim that more than one million jobs were created under his watch in Texas while the rest of the country lost more than two million.

... so, tell us, how would you create jobs?

Integrated & Sustainable Development Methodology (EDIS)
Yes Wes,
I am quite willing to share our experience and deliverables of our NGO (Entrepreneurial, Development & Information Services) as a discussion point to what we believe might be a probable way of wealth creation in RSA and in the global village.

Might I just add that we are a reluctant recipient of the vision as it needs people to implement the methodology that are astute strategic planners and management orientated people. Often visionaries become the very same obstacle in seeing it through to reality.

It would not be possible to share the detail in this strata/method of communication but follow below is a sinops that will give you some insight. Requests for sharing detailed documentation to bona fide interested parties will be send if you care to send your requests to ;edis@telkomsa.net.
We need to create and maintain sustainable small manufacturing concerns world- wide to add value to raw products by founding Integrated Commodity and Community Resource Centres to create sustainable wealth and create income that will address the needs we have.
My own history of starting my own businesses with very little capital and our experiences and research here in RSA has led to the following methodology we derived at;
The Methodology & Functions of Integrated & Sustainable Development Methodology (ISDM)
The ISDM addresses the needs of the potential manufacturing entrepreneur or community structure through the implementing steps from idea-phase right through to the Implementation phase by offering integrated and cost-effective support functions required for each step in order to ensure a feasible and sustainable value-added and wealth creation entity.
These Support Functions can be classified in the following categories and are integrated and harmonized with each other:
• Information & Data Gathering and Dissemination
• Project Management and Strategic Planning
• Administration & Documentation
• Marketing & Promotions
• Seed- Venture and Equity Capital
• Infrastructure & Logistics
• Skills transfer Programmes
• Technology Development & Dissemination
Note, these support functions are, for the purpose of this summary document, not fully explained, nor described. Detailed discussions will be required after a full-fledged submission by EDIS to potential facilitators of this project in order to explain the critical importance of these various support functions.
If one or more of these support functions are not made available in an holistic and integrated “one stop” cost-effective entity, such as through Integrated Community Resource Centres, in the implementation path, from idea stage to implementation stage of the potential entrepreneur ,or community project, it will not be sustainable or feasible. It is scientific in nature.
These support functions will be made available to willing and qualified recipients through the establishment of Integrated Community Resource Centres (ICRC) in harmony with local government spheres. There would be three models of these ICRC`S available, namely Metro pole, Urban and Rural categories. There will also be a module for potential service providers for any of these categories.
