But given that information we may make decisions contrary to the powerbrokers.The majority of people from all cultures,religious and cultural persuations all want the same thing;food,a roof over our heads and the chance to make a better life for our children.
nenem 03-Dec-10, 10:47	information I'm sure whole books can be written by experts on information flow and distribution in the modern world. I'm sure it varies from country to country and within countries. In say Afghanistan the vast majority do not really know much about 9/11 or why we may be there. Note I say may because intentions are not always clear even to ourselves. I am in the US and I believe a recent poll indicated a majority did not know that the Republican Party won control of the House in the recent election. I just about completed a Doctorate in Political Science many years ago with minor fields in International Relations and Comparative Politics where one of my 2 fields of specialization was South Asia. I had to ask help to begin my recent reading on that area. Luckily I think I got some good advise but can not be sure. My major field dealt with the nature of explanation in the social and related sciences. It was a humbling experience. I was influenced by the Cuban Missile Crisis to go into these studies. I clearly learned from all that study which is still going on that there is so much I don't know and perhaps can't know. Even with a good paper now such as the New York Times and a few books I can't be sure I have good information. What is appearing in Wkileaks to me is only a small part of information that some powerbrokers base decisions on. They also have theories and interests and positions in and out of power that impact what they believe they know and what they should do with what they think they know.
