Stalemates
Sometimes you have to go for a draw, and be glad to get it. The first one is simple, but in the game as played,
Antsigin - Zhuravlev (1952), white missed his chance and resigned.
White to move.


Presumably, white resigned because he was thinking:
1. Kxf3 Kg1
And then black's h pawn walks in to be promoted.
Better for white is
1.Kf2
which is an immediate stalemate.
Simple, but I like it.
