"Black talk" re move 32
The White Team have moved and this is the current position:

My early feeling is Rf8 but I really need to have a good look at this and hopefully come up with a more reasoned suggestion.

Loads of time for analysis so please contribute any thoughts you may have

Apologies
I screwed up the fen thing and the following is the correct diagram:

Which means of course that the Rook is already on f8 so doesn't need moving there.

In that case then my early thought is kd8 .

Once again, apologies for any inconvenience caused by wrong early diagram.

Good!
I thought I was having an attack of early Alzheimer's, I had no idea how our Rook got over to d8 and our bishop
on a8 look like some kind of reverse miracle.

Counter-attack?
Unless I am mistaken Kd8 leads to the loss of a pawn one way or another, perhaps like this:

1. ... Kd8
2. g5 Be7
3. gxh6 gxh6
4. Qxh6

So I have been looking for some kind of counter attack that provides a response to the threat against our bishop.
Trying e4 without much luck so far.

Difficult
Finding a counter attack will be difficult, I think, due to the restricted nature of our pieces. I would gladly accept the loss of a pawn if we were able to improve our defensive position. I'm not yet sure that Kd8 is our best move (the first move I see usually isn't). The thinking behind it was as a stepping stone towards finding a safer home for the King on the opposite side of the board.

Rc4?
It creates interesting possibilities, but they are more complex than I able to analyze, at least this evening.

move 32
Ok this is a very dangerous position and if we are not careful we could lose in just a few
moves, I Have tried several different moves and I think most of them lose at least 2 pawns or
the bishop.
But I have come up with a possible line for you all to look at, I am not saying it’s the answer
but it’s the best I have found so far, I would welcome your thoughts or please tell me if I have
messed up.
I am afraid I don’t know how to post the board for you to see , so its notation only.

Here are some lines I looked at first ……………..

32. …………………… - Rc4
33. g5 - Bxd4
34. Bxd4 - Rxd4
35. Qxg7+

Or

32. ………… - Kd7
33. g5 - Hxg5
34. Fxg5 - Be7
35. Qxg7

Here is my option, please take a look

32. ……… - e5
33. Fxe5 - Bxe5
34. Dxe5 - Qxe5

Although we still lose the bishop for a pawn I feel it gives us a more playable position.

Alan's idea

The above is the board following Alan's suggestion. Please let me know if I have got this wrong

I will comment further on this, later this evening, once I have had a chance to play around with it.

White doesn't have to fall in with this plan
My argument against this line is that White is not forced into any of these moves.

For example, instead of fxe5 White may be tempted to start the process of trapping our Bishop

32. e5
33. g5 hxg5
34. fxg5 Bxg5
35. Qxg5+

I forgot to mention
We currently have 3 days 4 hours left on the clock, so voting time will soon be upon us.

I still favour Kd8 but I'm not completely sold on it.

I am sorry for not participating, team mates. I barely have time to move in my games. I hope I can cooperate more in the future.

Less than 2 days to move
We need to start deciding on the next move.

Mentioned so far:

32. Rc4
32. Kd7
32. e5
32. Kd8

My preferred choice would be 32. Kd8. If there are no posts to indicate other choices, I will play this move tomorrow.

Kd8
I will look at it again tonight, but I am wondering why you prefer Kd8 to Kd7?
I have been unable to make anything out of either e5 or Rc4.

No way out
Every option looks bad to me. We may be approaching the game end instead of the endgame.

Vote
I agree all the options look bad with no real chance to try to fight back, I agree that Kd8 is
probably the best move but i am certain we are lost unless we can get something going our
selves, so we need to come up with a sacrifice somewhere in the next few moves to attack
there king, disrupt there plans and totally surprise them or i fear we will just be overwhelmed.

MY VOTE ... Kd8
